Fair point, but if they’re dead set on converting him to WR, you’d think they would have changed his designation to WR, or at least announced the signing as WR, not QB. Not sure if it’s just marketing.

Girardi is a spot on reporter he tells it like it is. So I believe he's listed as QB. I like it. Anything.. just Anything that can spark this offense is welcome.

The only way I'd want to see him at WR is for him to come back behind the line of scrimmage after the ball is hiked, have Mac throw it to him and Cunningham throws it downfield to an open receiver for 6!!!

I'd like that! Would be the best play of the season! The litter we saw in pre season I was impressed.. just him playing off raw athletic ability and instincts was impressive enough. He is just talented and athletic we sorely lack anyone with his traits on offense.

With both Smith-Schuster and Douglas out for tomorrow's game I'm thinking they might have a WR package ready for Cunningham. Everyone salivating about this kid at QB might want to pump the brakes a bit. He likely has gotten zero reps there in practice.

While I agree it's possible for him to get some reps at WR, I don't think he's a true conversion like Edelman. He stunk in the preseason at WR, If we are going to throw him the ball at least do it near the LOS, screens, bubble screen, maybe a quick slant.. I think they plan on playing him at QB though, I'd like to see him get a shot to develop there, at least in some RPO packages and as a backup.

I believe at least one of Zappe/Malik was offered to go to another PS but wanted to stay. On the flip side I think the QB who wants to be here the least is probably Mac

Also I wouldn’t be surprised if he lines up as QB and runs the RPO especially in short yardage situations.

And gets driven back 5 yds for a loss. Everyone and their mother will know what’s coming.

Just looked at the official roster... When was the last time the Pats had 4QBs on the active roster?

Mac always reminded me of Bledsoe in there for some reason with a fraction of the arm. Is Zappe Bishop or Huard? I mean Malik will be compared to Bishop for obvious reasons, but the big question who's Brady in all of this if we're allowing ourselves a heavy dose of delusion? Mac might want to watch out since Crosby and then Mo Lewis weigh about the same.

He is even shorter than Zappe. Not even 6 feet.
Exciting player but his height and arm strength make him a longshot as a qb.
I like him better as a slot receiver and occasional gadget play guy.

I like Cunningham and want him to try a start if they decide to bench Mac. This reeks of a desperation move though, clearly a bad sign of where things are with Mac.

If he was seen as very valuable as a gadget skill player he wouldn’t have been on the PS when it’s clear we need playmakers.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.
