Why not? Getting into our WR room obviously does not require surmounting a very high hurdle. Better this sort of player than the sort of more expensive, soon-to-be-a-hasbeen player a team as weak as the Pats are has no business drafting to add a win or two this year. This year, once again , is about the years following. All wins are gonna get you this year is a lower draft slot.

Good on him, hopefully a diamond in the rough

If true, this guy is not very smart. The Patriots have a cafeteria and will provide him with the necessary equipment, including a helmet. They also have a custodial staff to handle things in/around the facility. No wonder he wasn't drafted, I'm curious about his Wonderlic score.
Hey Tune - Who were you responding to? They must have me blocked.. lol

I like the kid. He was mad that he ran a 4.40. Nice 3 cone which shows his short distance quickness as well. The few highlights I saw, he would fit the 2001-2019 Patriot’s slot receiver role (Brown, Branch, Welker, Amendola & Edelman). Not sure that exact slot role exists in the AVP offense. I hope he makes it to the practice squad though, he’s an intriguing prospect. If I remember correctly, he was getting a lot of action in rookie mini camp.

His high school teacher: "Came from a great family. Was always helping less fortunate kids in class. First to volunteer for less popular activities."

Another high school teacher: "Came from a rough family situation that would have crushed most kids. An inspiration."
I'm confused

Military, moved around, 3 different High Schools.
Those quotes (great family, always helping less fortunate kids, but yet also somehow had a rough family situation that would’ve crushed other kids) read like they conflicted and must’ve been BS to me, but being a military kid actually makes it line up. He probably had good family guidance and wasn’t broke but moving around all the time made it very hard to fit into teams as the perpetual new guy.

IMO any offense that can't make use of a guy like those is badly designed
