Player Signing Pats sign Antonio Gibson, RB

The kick return experience is interesting because we still don’t know what that play is going to look like this season. The XFL version that has been proposed seems to favor bigger guys who can hit a hole and break through arm tackles. It’s basically a wall of 10 defenders against a wall of 10 blockers, so it’s not weaving through various depths of defenders like a punt return or what the kick return currently looks like.

I mostly like it- he has been benched at times for chronic fumbling and trying to bounce too much to the outside. Hopefully that is behind him.

I honestly like what wolf is doing. Building foundational blocks nothing fancy but not overpaying for mid level talent.

Bill just signed bloated contracts . I am sure we overpaid for Henry and jonnu and agholor in 2021 and for JuJu as well.

Thankfully we have a gm with fiscal prudence on offensive side.

Receiving back, runs a 4.39 40, played WR in college, good in blitz pickup. Great move. Not a game changer, but if the goal is to build a functional offense for a young QB to grow into, it helps.

The fumbling issues have been up and down in his four NFL seasons.
Better in even-numbered seasons, not that that means anything of course.

Young, versatile and reasonable. What's not to like here?!
There’s nothing to dislike. There’s also not much to like either. Antonio Gibson is honestly an average receiving back. You should be able to find an Antonio Gibson or better in the fourth round of the draft.

I hope we don't tie up any draft pick on a RB

Okay signing. Could’ve done much better but it’s alright.

I don't think so, looking at the list of signed and unsigned FA RB's. There's the usual overpayment in the top three. I wouldn't want one of those guys at that money, because we have a #1 back already. This kid is a great pickup for what they needed. Spirited player.

“Great pickup” is a stretch for what he has shown the past two seasons.

Former WR turned RB love it solves Third Down RB Problem watch out Rham.

What does Rham have to watch out for exactly?
Gibson becoming the #1 RB Rham was ok last year if you didn't notice.
