Pats/Jags Game Plan, Breakdown ...

Rewatching the game now ... he's feasting on the Steelers with play action and when he drops back he kind of sucks.
But the Steelers could not contain Fournette or didn't think they had to until it was too late.

Elandon Roberts will have to not bite on the play action. Patiently reading that is not his strong suit. I expect he's getting that pounded into his head this week.

The jags keep moaning and b*tching about being disrespected. I don't understand at all. They're not gonna be favorites in this game. I do expect a dogfight though. This won't be easy.

A team that's been dogshit for years is whining about respect the moment it has a decent season. It's S.O.P. as a motivational tool. But, despite the bleating from the Jags, you can be sure they know that they don't really deserve much respect. In sports, respect is earned, and having win totals of

in the past 9 years doesn't earn you respect. Going 10-6 and doing well in the playoffs this year will lead to more respect next year.

That might be asking a lot. How many times have we seen him make the wrong decision and rush up field when he is not supposed to?

Marrone says his plan for stopping Gronk is, "Hope he drops it."

The other thing was that I thought the Pats ran the ball effectively against the Titans, who have a much better run defense than the Jags. Hopefully they should be able to run the ball against the Jags as effectively and exploit and play action.

Very solid youtube video.

BTW i subscribe to this guy. I think he is really good. His concise stuff like this is the best though.

I see you also found James Light on twitter. Been reading his stuff for a few weeks. Makes you appreciate the level of detail that goes into schemes even more. Crazy..

Been following James even before I joined Twitter, hes a great follow. I've learned a ton.

And I like when we agree, about Zone this week for example haha.

This probably counts for nothing, but it seems like the Jags are coming in fired up to win and relishing their underdog status and hot win in Pittsburg. Or maybe just the fans are.

The Titans, OTOH, were playing with house money, had a lame duck coach, and were saying things along the line of "well, who knows? Something good could happen."

I could see them spazzing out and melting down in dramatic ways if things aren't going well. Especially being young. Haven't watched them this year besides the Steelers game, though.

of course they are fired up. I'm just not sure which team the Jags are. is it the team that could only muster up 10 points agains the bills...who the patriots destroyed, or the team that put up 45 on the steelers? or the team that had 44 points put on their defense by the 49'ers and lost to the titans twice.

They've lost their cool before on and off the field so it's not crazy to think they implode after getting down early.
