Pats have engaged in TRADE TALKS for Isaiah Wynn

Just my opinion, but even if he's good when he plays, it's tough to build OL continuity when you aren't on the field consistently. The best OLs are ones where the guys are playing nearly every game together at the same position.

I'd be fine with Yodny if he's a bit of a drop off talent wise, but is more durable (which I'm not sure he is, doesn't Yodny also have an injury history?).

I agree with that, and I figured this would be his last season here if he even had played it out. I was just curious as to why he was suddenly missing from camp and stuff as I don’t remember ever seeing a clear explanation on what happened between he and the team. Other than yet another injury, seems there was something going

Something had to have happened from between the time they picked up his option and now. That 2018 draft was a mess.

Is Arlington Hambright a Guard or Tackle??
IMO he is a guard who they are seeing if he is versatile enough to also play T.

But....why pick up his (rather hefty) option if they're just going to trade him?

So he is under contract so they can trade him. Call it asset mgt.

In addition they had no idea what they had at LT and RT. Sure Brown is here but everything after him is a ?

$10m for a starting T is reasonable.

Hmmmmm maybe they are convinced.

Agreed, that is why the rumor is believable, but Reiss is saying he doubts it. So who knows.

Not going to happen.

Way too late in the off season, especially with the line in flux due to the changes...

Don't be so sure... Mankins was traded on August 26 in 2014, and it took them the first month of the season to get that line back to where they wanted it. They got there, but it's not like they were automatically stacked behind Mankins.

Cajuste has been more injured than Wynn over his career. Relying on Cajuste so you trade away Wynn seems beyond weird to me, unless youlike the prospect of Yasir Durant playing in the event of an injury, or Ferentz inside while kicking Onwenu outside.

No thanks to any of this.
I think they'd put Albright in at RG and kick Onwenu out to RT. As you said, Cajuste has been more injured then Wynn. I think it would need to be a second round pick. Anyone talking 3rd/4th is being foolish..

Maybe we trade with the Raiders and get Leatherwood plus a pick and save $10M on the Cap?

Help me understand why you'd want to add someone who was one of the worst starting Offensive linemen in the league in 2021? He allowed 8 sacks and took 14 penalties last year.

Really because Wynn has played Elite? Are we talking about Chandler Jones or Jamie Collins in his prime?? Wynn has not played like a First Rounder or I must be Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles.

This isn't a disaster as long as they stay relatively healthy ...

C (2) D.Andrews, K.Russey
G (4) M.Onwenu, C.Strange, A.Hambright, Y.Durant
T (3) T.Brown, Y.Cajuste, J.Herron
I think you're gonna have Ferentz instead of Durant. I mean, has Durant seen 2nd team snaps?

I was thinking Ferentz instead of Durant but it's Ferentz. You're probably right. It's too heavy at C and G if that's the case.

Well, considering you want Leatherwood, your evaluations of players leave a lot to be desired.

I said a 2nd because that's what an Above average starting player goes for.

They might cut both and got light on the o-line the 1st 3 games since they can bring up a Vet player like Ferentz w/o having to clear waivers.

BB has some playing around that needs to be done because of Thornton and Wilkerson.

He has to keep Thornton on the Squad initially and then IR him.

I don't know if the Pats can waive/injured Wilkerson with the Concussion and then give him an injury settlement or not. The rules are kinda weird on that. If they can't and are required to carry him until they can put him on the normal IR, that's an extra roster spot tied up.

The roster maneuvering is going to be interesting this year..
