At worst this is just another Hankerson type move and he's unemployed again in a matter of days/weeks.

Isn't that a really expensive thing to do, capwise? Patriots have to pay a lot for weeks 15-17, and if they cut him, they'd lose out on any chance of a compensatory pick.

I will have to defer to the true cap gurus here for a complete analysis, though.
