Two things that go unappreciated by casual fans that we here probably do appreciate are coaching and special teams. I was watching the game with my girlfriend and sister (two different people) and I was gushing when I saw we had 40 seconds left in the first half driving down the field and still had all 3 timeouts. Exceptional time management and stuff you take for granted. I was also raving about our special teams. We may have the best kickoff coverage (possibly punt coverage too) in the league and it's easy to overlook the impact of forcing a team to start inside their 20 often. But they're just like ok Goose whatever you say. APPRECIATE IT DAMN IT!

On the flip side of that (as I wrote last night), Atlanta's decision to go for it on 4th and 6 at midfield with 2 minutes to go in the 1st half, thus risking (and losing that risk) of giving Brady the ball at the 50 with 1:53 to go before the end of the half with 3 timeouts was "Charlie Sheen Meth-Lab-Level" insane.

That was just scary stupid.

This was a solid game by everyone. No one player was A+++ perfect but almost everyone was a B+.

Good point, even though Asante Samuel had been drafted it somewhat reminded me of the playoff game in which the Pats shutdown Peyton Manning (and his then record setting TD performance) and three awesome WRs (all each with at least 1,000 yards/10+ TD) with second year CB Asante Samuel, undrafted rookie Randall Gay, oh, and WR Troy Brown. Pretty crazy

It just goes to show you that there are good players out there who can be coached up, but there just isn't enough room for them all in the league. You've got to have great scouting and coaching to do what the Pats do.
