Player Signing Pats are bringing back James White

White's been a great Patriot but he is coming off a serious injury at age 30 which is usually the drop-off point for RBs. Not that I care about the money but the contract is very reasonable so it certainly doesn't hurt bringing him back on this deal. Hopefully he's fully healthy and ready to contribute in his role which he's excelled at since given the opportunity.

I’m not really concerned with his age, the good receiver running backs produce into their 30s. Kevin Faulk, Larry Centers, Keith Byers, Ronnie Harmon, etc. all we’re producing until 32 to 33.

his injury was scary, but no risk with this little guaranteed.

He was severely missed last year. Loved Boldens contribution and the Stevenson emergence.

That safety valve though was gone. He was targeted by Mac heavily first 2 games of the season.

Has a significant ripple effect to the offense. Enough to get me super excited..no.. but enough to log on and write a post about.

Glad to have em back

Great to have James White back BB let's sign some Twenty somethings now. The roster have too many Thirty somethings already.

Led the team in receptions during our last SB winning season. Great signing.

I think both Harris and Stevenson will be more complete players going forward. Duals threats who can run and catch I like them both.

Great signing. Seems low risk/high reward

Ok...Mac needs him. Drawbacks are they are lesser in PA with White as Bolden is a better runner. Also we have no idea at his age if his hip injury leaves him less than what he was.

If hes somewhat back to form, we’ve already upgraded the passing game. Hopefully more to come

Think I will close my eyes the first time he runs the ball and gets tackled

Why’d my thread get locked instead of both threads merged lol

I'm sure it wasn't...

(just kidding fnord... I love you, man... )

The whole 20 years of Brady/McDaniels offense always went through the short/middle stuff with the 3rd down back (Faulk, Woodhead, Vareen, White) and the slot guy (Brown, Welker, JE11). I bet the 2021 offense didn't really have either. It could be way better with those pieces back.

White is clearly better than Bolden (who was good last year). That upgrade really shouldn’t be overlooked when projecting Mac Jones for this year. That assumes White is at the level he was before the injury.

IF White's hip ain't too right he could be a Training camp retiree.

Great news! Hopefully he'll be back to himself.

They just can not move on from this guy.

Rham can handle the duties and should be the lead back.
