Laugh if you must, but if Carter and Hunter are off the board and we couldn't trade back, I'd take Tyler Warren at #4 (even better, in a slight trade back to #6 or so, I'd still take Warren).
Brock Bowers was the exception. Chances of Warren duplicating that type of success year one are not very good. However, he does look pretty fantastic and might be another exception. I think he goes top 10 just not in the first 5.

I'm just saying that if we have to pick at #4 or trade back to #6, he's more of a sure thing and a position that we not only need, but could be a foundational player in the offense. He doesn't need to have a Bowers Rookie Season (especially with Henry around). But having Henry will make him have a positive impact as a Rookie. He could very well be one of those players that in a re-draft, people will wonder how he wasn't a Top 5 or at least Top 10 Player. I'd rather have a possible perennial All-Pro TE in Warren, than a possible perennial All-Pro LG in Campbell.

Assuming Barmore is back, I’d also like them to go after BJ Hill and/or another vet. Get big, get explosive.

The Eagles have/want to sign Baun and Sweat…. let’s take their best interior guy.
Now your talking Wozzy. Williams a young explosive interior demon. A healthy Barmore, and yes BJ hill who in personally love would be menacing to OGs and RUNNING backs.

We don't just look at him, we take him!
A trade with the Jets makes that a logical pick if Hunter and Carter are gone. That will assuredly put us in the drivers seat for a trade back and being able to stay within the top 10 to get Warren. Especially since Raiders are at 6. If the Pats ended up swapping for 6 or 7 while getting Warren and picking up another high 2nd that’s a home run deal. You end up getting plenty of ammo to move back into the 1st or staying pat and taking 2 quality players.

Yep, Barmore, Hill, White and Williams can get pressure with only 4 men rushing, they can be a wall against the run.

I heard from one of my trusted source(he was the one that told me about vrabel weeks before he was hired) that Milton Williams is a done deal and Milton has hired a real estate agent in MA to find him a house.
Tampering charges coming in 3....2.....1

Throw in an edge rusher like Carter too. Boom.

Would love this if it comes to fruition.

Exactly. If you end up with Barmore, Hill and Williams while having White and Carter off the edges that screams a reborn front. If you are able to then turn your focus in future fa and draft efforts to LB rookies upgrades that is a whole lot easier for front offices to find. If they do this right it could be a 3 year path back to prominence.

Yes. Like the old patriots defenses we always used to get pressure with our defensive line... so the LBs can be freed up.

If they are going all-in on the IDL and want to sign Williams AND another DT, I'd much rather target Bobby Brown III than BJ Hill.

Former 3rd round pick, still only 24, 325 lbs of beef, had a breakout year last year as an elite run stuffer for the Rams in 2024 but wants a bigger role. There's evidence that he can be an effective interior pass rusher as well. In his last year at A&M, was 7th in the SEC in sacks.

(No Bobby Brown jokes please)

Milton Williams is Meh if you ask me. I don't see the need in throwing a bag at him in a loaded DT class.

You only have so many draft picks and they have a lot of holes to fill. You have to pay someone… you can’t fill every hole in the draft.

I love it! He seems like a future all pro at TE. I've heard his name and attributes but I haven't paid much attention. If we somehow move down in the draft to gather more picks do we look at him??
Only downside I could see if Pats expect him to be Gronk2.

Hopefully he will be, but Gronk is the best TE I ever watched.

What?

No Bobby Brown jokes?

It’s MY prerogative!

Instead of a joke I'll tell a story:

A good friend of mine was eating at the bar and happened to notice Bobby Brown was a few stools over. This was flip phone days and personal ring tones were the rage. My buddy quietly changes his ring tone to Every Little Step and then has the other guy he was with call his phone.

Brown responded something like you got to be kidding me and everyone got a laugh.

One of my favorite stories and I wasn't even there.
