hes hanging out with Lance Moore
..but after reading that it I don't like his chances of contributing for another couple weeks.Pierre Thomas revealed Thursday that doctors "found something else" in his ankle when he was re-examined last week.
Doctors are still telling Thomas that it's simply a bad sprain, not of the high-ankle variety. "Honestly, I feel it all over my ankle," said Thomas. "When you touch it, I feel pain all over my ankle ... So, I really messed it up. They say I really messed it up pretty bad." Thomas doesn't seem any closer to returning now than he did a month ago.
New Orleans Saints running back Pierre Thomas Q&A: Ankle injury still lingers
If Pierre wasn't hurt and Woodhead hadn't emerged this could have been a good trade..

I take this to mean Sammy Morris's goose is cooked.
These two threads are practically next to each other, not sure how you missed it:I have to ask whatever happened to Pierre Woods?
Precisely, NO loses Randall Gay whom they used as their Nickel/Dime back, NE has Wheatley riding the inactive list from a foot injury after a decent looking preseason, and Wilhite NE's Nickel/Dime back.I wonder if Butler's name actually was thrown in. If not, maybe Wilhite or Wheatley?

NO has a RB nursing injuries who is pretty good when he can get on the field and NE traded Maroney, then lost Taylor (short term) and Faulk (season ending) shortly afterward. Thomas is injured, but he's depth for a playoff run, and his inactive time gives him playbook study time.
Thomas is in his contract season, Wheatley and Wilhite are both signed through next season - NE asks for a late round pick to cover the value of 2011 - NO thinks about team building and the value of a draft pick because they are trying to copy NE, no deal.
I doubt Butler was ever mentioned, he's just the one struggling CB most people will find in a casual google/lexis-nexis of NE news reports.
When I was a kid, in France, there was a zoo guy who came to the school and showed us all kinds of animals. His name was Pierre Thomas.
He later built a beautiful zoo, to which I take my kids when I go back to France. *that* Pierre Thomas passed a while ago. Zoo de Pont-Scorff- parc animalier dans le Morbihan en Bretagne - Zoo de Pont Scorff France
In other words, I got nothing of value to add to this thread
I'm kind of glad we didn't. When healthy, Thomas has been a decent running back. However, it's the "when healthy" part that's concerning. Guy almost makes Shawn Crable look like Iron Man.
Wheatley?
Is he still on the roster???
I know Wilhite is..I keep seeing his Hobbs like coverages
