Watching the Bills today vs the Colts, their offense looks like it could be really good, much better and more explosive than the Dolphins. The Bills young receivers scary, Robert Woods looks good, Marquise Goodwin had a really good KO return for a TD, he had the fastest 40 time at the Combine. My draft binkie Da'Rick Rogers had a TD catch, with a nice move at the LOS to gain separation, and Marcus Easley is big and strong like Rogers. QB EJ Manuel actually looked pretty good, reminds me of Cam Newton, big QB with a big arm, who could run. Hell even their 3rd string QB Tuel looked 1000x better than our famous 3rd string QB.

Plus, they have a strong defense. Mario Williams looks healthy. They have a solid D with some good D-Linemen and DB's. Buffalo looks like a bigger threat than the Dolphins IMO. What do you ladies and gents think ?

If you aren't watching NFL Network, former WSU quarterback Jeff Tuel is absolutely shredding the Colts right now. 11/13, 136yds and a TD.

Jeff Tuel > EJ

Jeff Tuel is showing us why Tarvaris Jackson was released. He looks sharp. Making good throws & very sound in the pocket. Very confident.

Jeff Tuel is really a problem!!! I'm sorry Ej but he should start over you

Who? I search Manuel on twitter and see this. That's not a good sign for the Bills

the bills always look good for the first 3 or 4 games of the season then the bottom falls out of them and they end up with a top 10 draft pick, the fish IMO did not get better they add it a one trick pony WR and a over rated ILB but they lost there pro bowl LT and there #1 CB

dolphins...a rookie QB in Buff? Going to crap his pants week 1 when he sees what TB can do

I think the Bills are going to be #2 in the division. Dolphins will just be another team to learn that big FA spending doesn't pay off.

This.

I think the Bills are actually going to be a good time throughout this season. Fortunately, I think the Pats are still a better team. But I think the Bills are #2 in the division.

Hope the Bills start getting overrated hype after this showing against the backups of one of the worst defenses in the league last year (21st in scoring and 25th in yards)

Manuel didn't attempt a pass over 20 yds - very good at dump offs though

The Bills offense will likely give the Patriots more trouble than the Dolphins. They might have the fastest stable of skill positions players in the NFL and as the Eagles game showed us, the Patriots could still have problems defending speed in the back-end of their defense.

The Bills defense looks exploitable in their second level and secondary sans Gilmore (obviously Bird didn't play today so that's a factor), if the Patriots' pass catchers can find ways to exploit that they should be able to handle them. I expect their games to be of the shoot out variety this season with neither defense being able to stop the other's offense.

Bills > Dolphins.

I think Miami is all in. They went for broke. I DVR'd the Bills game, can't see it until tommorow though. How did these so called Bills look? Every year is the same old thing with them.

I'm not worried about either really but I do look forward to them playing each other. I think the Bills are closer mainly because of their defense and they seem pretty good in the trenches.

I think it takes a team 1-2 years after their big free agency spend to improve. The Bills big spend was last year, the Dolphins big spend was this year.

Mike Wallace isn't worth half of what they paid for him. He's a one trick pony - speed. He needs time to get separation since he isn't a superior route runner from what I've seen. Time is something Tannehill won't have with that OL and a running game that I'll believe when I see.

I actually think the Jets will get more wins than the Dolphins this year.

The Dolphins might be the most overhyped team this year. I think they will get closest to the Pats, but the Pats could have this division locked up by early December.

I'm gonna vote bills. Every night before I sleep, I will check to see if CJ Spiller is in the closet or under my bed. Scary!

Spiller really is something. If the Bills are smart, he'll be the centrepiece of that Offense and everything else will be components built around him.

Looking at both teams, they look like teams with a 9-7 ceiling. Without being condescending, that would be the Patriots floor.

The Dolphins are the team most likely to implode if things go wrong. Reading interviews you see that they clearly think they are the main competitors to take the AFCE crown from us.

That sort of thinking doesn't leave a lot of room for dealing with set backs. Plus I see shades of the Eagles dream team with their additions. Randomly assembled high-end talent does not translate to guaranteed wins. Especially when you let one of the top tackles in the game walk away.

If I had to vote, I'd say the Bills.

But, I think the biggest issue to our continued dominance of the AFCE is (since Brady) injuries.

The fish, despite their OL troubles they are still a better team than either the Jets or Bills, the Jets may well be looking at a top 4 pick in next years draft. The Patriots win the division again with 11-12 wins and a top 2 seed in the play-offs.

The thing to take away from the Bills game is that this is just the first pre-season game, and nobody is showing their real cards. It's all vanilla and bluff.

Remember back in 2008 when everyone thought that Matt Cassel was crap and that he should have been released? Seems like he was actually the pick of the litter because when Brady went down, Cassel stepped up and got us 11 wins.

So, even though the Bills looked pretty good, especially in the 2nd half, in the 1st half they sucked pretty badly against the Colts 1st stringers.

It's pre-season. I just sit back and watch the show, because in reality, it's more akin to the auditions of "America's Got Talent" than actual football.
