"5. Bill Belichick said there was "zero" consideration to not sneak/take a knee after getting the ball back with 1:05 remaining in the second quarter at the NE8. The Patriots had all three timeouts and the Bills were getting the ball to start the second half. Based on the way the first half had unfolded, with the Patriots committing four turnovers (3 INTs + Pharaoh Brown fumble), the approach was understandable to me given the field position. At that point, it felt like the Patriots were fortunate to just be trailing 20-14 and the risk deep in their own territory far
outweighed the potential reward."
- But why not run something like an end-around with Pop or Reagor or the "speed" draft pick Thornton? If it gets stuffed, then you can take knees; but if it gets a quick 1st down, then you live to run another play... Nobody wants Dan Campbell or Brandon Staley idiocy, but doing what Bill did wasn't even trying.
"...From a big-picture standpoint, the D has made some notable strides against Allen (15 of 30 for 159 yards, 1 INT) in recent games, which is something to consider when assessing the possibility of a coaching change in the offseason. Would they want to start all over again with a new scheme?"
- Stop being a shill Mikey. It's Time.
- "11. Fourth-round pick Jake Andrews played his first offensive snaps of the season at LG - first entering the game at 5:43 of the second quarter for a series, then playing late in the fourth quarter. Bill Belichick said it was part of the plan to rotate Andrews in for Atonio Mafi.
Andrews didn't look out of place."
