I am sure that you guys will correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Randy Moss do pretty much nada during camp and then torched the Jete week one? Not saying that's the case here, but maybe a parallel.
Your absolutely spot on Steve.. randy was held out alot due to his hamstring issues that season...

Fair, but why hasn’t any other reporter done something similar recently?
Good question because Perry has been reporting that Diggs is no longer a WR1, but I haven’t seen that elsewhere. I think Perry has made Diggs his big story to pursue and there seems to be tension. But I can’t tell if it’s tension between Diggs and Perry or Diggs and the coaches.

I personally think Vrabel and Diggs are good, but what do I know.
Vrabes would stuff Diggs in his locker sideways.

Not sure why I keep reading "Diggs is already being a PITA". I have not heard this ANYWHERE Else.
Of course I could DEFINITELY be wrong.

Bonus points for Aubrey Plaza gif tho.

Well that answers my next question.

At this time of year the past few seasons we'd always hear the defense is ahead of the offense. This season so far I'd say it's the other way around. As well as Maye is doing (as long as he doesn't fumble) - McCarthy also lit up our defense yesterday. Lots of work to do.
I’m not sure what we are hearing is an accurate representation of what is happening on the field, or whether it’s reflecting the additional attention focused on the offense particularly because of Campbell being our top draft pick.

Year 2 Drake, top draft pick this year, intriguing WR battle top to bottom, and the cherry on top Henderson you'd have to have Belichick blood to pay attention to the D.

wide receiver competition from what I observed thus far:
1.) diggs can get open in a phone booth!!! #1 receiver for us by a mile.
2.) hollins - JAG, but can block on running plays.
3.) boutte - dr jeckyl and Mr Hyde. His motor runs hot or cold!!! No in between. Lacks courage!!!
4.) Williams - has some route running skill, but stone hands! He needs to look the ball in and not worry about being hit!!!!
5.) baker - JAG
6.) chism - slow slower and slowest! Watching him run a route is like watching grass grow!!! Great hands though!!!!

Chism is all about agility and footwork, a 4.71 40 time he's not running away from people he's using quickness and smarts.
He's slow but what did you see in terms of separation on the short routes? If he's going to be a contributor that's where he would contribute. 4.71 is really slow tho.

Example here:
