Yep, these are getting too easy and there are way too many about Vinatieri.

Another easy one...

Where did the Patriots play their home games in their inaugural season of 1960?

BU's Nickerson Field.

Yep, I'll be back on monday with a new question. Hopefully it will be a little tougher and won't involve ******** Vinatieri.

At that time, I was still calling it Braves Field.

What other professional football team played their home games at Nickerson Field?

That would be the Boston Braves, I believe.

Yes, but they had already moved to Milwaukee in 1954, thence to Atlanta.

This thread keeps getting buried deeper and deeper every time.

What Patriots' player entered Super Bowl XXXIX with the most postseason experience?

Please tell me you mean "post-season". If so, I'll guess Chad Brown. Or possibly Hank Poteat.

Whoops, yeah it's postseason. I guess I still stuck in preseason mode. And it's not Chad or Hank.

Name the future AFL all-star that the Patriots acquired from the Houston Oilers in October of 1961 in echange for a third-round draft choice.

I think it was either Billy Kilmer or Houston Antwine. But didn't Kilmer come from the raiders? I think they got Antwine from a division rival. That was so long ago. They were just building their team with holovak back then.

I remember as a kid watching carl garrett - he was pretty good , but I think he had drug problems, if I recall. kinda like duane thomas - remember that dude?

by the way huskeralk, your avatar cracks me up almost every time I see it.
that was such a hysterical movie!

"I feel like I'm taking crazy pills - hasn't anyone else noticed that all of his looks are the same look. I invented the piano key necktie, that was was me!
what has derek zoolander ever done? nothing! NOTHING ! "

If you watched the whole movie, that point in the movie is really terrific acting by Will Ferrell - I thought he was just great.

by the way - what does huskeralk mean?

OK - NAME, IN ORDER OF THEIR TENURES, THE FIVE GREATEST PATRIOTS COACHES, EACH OF WHO CAME AND CREATED A WINNING ATMOSPHERE, AND WHO NOW ARE THE TOP FIVE IN WINS - HINT: THERE IS ONE FOR EACH DECADE

Houston Antwine played for the Houston Oilers? That's great.

Off the top of my head, but not n order

Holovak
Fairbanks
Berry
Belichick

Parcells or Carroll?

Very good NEM !
You almost had them all in order too.

60's-Mike Holovak
70's-Chuck Fairbanks
80's-Raymond Berry
90's-Bill Parcells
00's-Bill Belichick

These 5 coaches were clearly the elite in all pats history and were the only ones to reach 30 wins (including playoff wins) - and each of them created a winning team for the pats that did well for some time. Of course, BB is now at the top of the heap in wins and should blow everybody away now.
