I should have used a calculator. I usually do OK counting to 10 but when get to 11, I sometimes get Mr Happy caught in my fly.:explative

Well, the toughest question didn't last very long.

or , when I think of that image of you and your counting.

To confuse things, I think Carl Garret was the correct answer to the question when I guessed Mack Herron. Most receptions by a running back or something.

he was the first RB to lead the team in receptions- Carl Garrett.

Some of the wordings on these questions are something else.

Who played more years in a Patriots' uniform than anyone else?

For extra credit give me the years.

Bruce Armstrong?

Gino!!!!!!!!

Steve Grogan - 1975-1990???

That's a great guess - I was thinking of guessing Gino before thinking of Armstrong.

Husker, is it Gino?

The Great Gino was, I believe, 1960-70. There were other Pats who played longer though few played better.

It wasn't Gino either.

Steve Grogan then?

Grogan played 16 seasons, Armstrong 14 (ditto Troy Brown), and Gino 11 (1960 - 1970). I can't think of anyone who played more than 16.

I almost lost track of this thread. Steve Grogan is correct. He played from 75-90.

Husker, you have to give credit to the first right answer . . . this may seem trivial, but that's the name of the game!!

Here's a Pat's trivia question . . . how many years has Gil Santos been the voice of the Patriots?

Hint: Gino's been the sidekick for 24 years but 24 is not the answer to the question.

Sorry, I skimmed right past your post and never saw it. You need to have some pretty pictures in your signature or something.

I don't care who gets the credit - it's just fun to play the game.
My guess on Santos - 45 years? I think he has been there almost from the very beginning.

45 is high . . . Santos didn't start with the inception of the Pats and was off for a few years . . . I think during the dark ages of Victor Kiam

When do you think he started then? He was there pretty early on IIRC.

Enough hints already . . . the answer is 30 years. With that length of time during some very lean years, it's such a joy to listen to Gil's passionate call on Adam's winner in SBXXXVI.

"It's good! It's good!!!"

Simple, but for us long time fans, very moving. It is good.

A little more trivia. The Pats have retired seven numbers. Name any of the seven players and their numbers.

Can we give folks at least 30 minutes to answer one trivia question before we ask the next one?
