And that currently, you're trying to convince a horde of dudes what a great catch you are?

That right there is some funny stuff. Bravo ! Actually made me audibly laugh out loud.

Ever hear one of your "devotees" hum this behind your back?

From watching the recent videos of practice, I'm horrified to see that Cam's mechanics on intermediate throws is still hideous.
His body angle and release is just awkward, and it must be from the re-built shoulder. But, it's not good, and must be the reason for continued inconsistent accuracy. He looks okay when he's throwing longer, or arcing passes, but those 15-25 yard throws are ugly. And, in case we forget, those are the majority of our offense - except for the screen game and check-downs.

Probably 1 or 2 lol. I’m no Brad Pitt (but I’m not quasimodo either), but I have a ****load of confidence and I know I’m not a bad person. People who know me, seem to like me. One married me, and two others wanted to get engaged (different times obviously). So possibly 1 or 2 might be interested.

Please post some pictures of these highly intelligent, good looking women. We can help you pick the right one.

It's true that a great camp doesn't necessarily make for a great, or even good, season. But I can't remember anytime a QB, especially a rookie, played poorly in camp and went on to have success in the regular season. A good camp is merely a first step.
Yea, I think that what a rookie shows in camp is a good indicator of how good he will be in the regular season. The best example of this was when Lawrence Taylor arrived at the Giants training camp. As Bill Belichick said, it was pretty obvious from the first day at camp that he was special. He was running over linemen and even was able run with WRs...at the end of training camp, Phil Simms said he was so happy that LT would not be chasing him around anymore.

I don't think many people think veteran starters need a ton of camp reps. It makes perfect sense to me that even if Mac is viewed as a backup, he would gain more from the reps than Cam would. One of them is a rookie and the other one is a 10 year vet.

Cam struggles with the playbook. He needs all the reps he can get.

Out of 3.8B females in the world? Those are some tough odds

No question buzzard's luck has had some factor in his development and production. However Meyers has been here the same amount of time with a couple 100 more snaps with the same QBs in the same offense and has basically doubled Harry's production.

Meyers wasn't hurt for half a season in 2019. And in 2020, Harry also missed two games as well. In addition, Harry is more of a back shoulder/big body WR that needs an accurate QB. Harry definitely has been blocking more and better than Meyers. Meyers is better at releasing off the ball and route running...and gets open OVER THE MIDDLE moreso.

42 reps to 24? *sigh.* It's time we address the elephant in the room:

KDPPatsfan, did you quote your own twitter take?

Week 5 isn't that far off.
I think the better contextual evidence will be playing time in game one of the preseason based on these rep counts, but more so the number of reps before preseason game #2 which I ASSUME will be the new preseason game#3 where the starters get the most preparation and in-game reps.

That said, this three game preseason, like the mandated unpadded practices, must be driving coaches crazy. They have to rework their entire preparation system (not to mention that once again the fans get the ultimate shaft with the product on the field likely to look like most Thursday night games for the first 2-3 regular season weeks).

the arbitrary notion that Mac will start week 5 is based on the fact that BB would never have him face Brady and, what - be humiliated? What flawed logic. What's worse for the Pats to face Brady with - a useless QB like Cam which will remind us all what we don't have anymore, or a kid who at least shares the type of potential that we can be hopeful about? Neither will play well in that game, and we'll lose either way. So, if he's doing better than Cam after 2 or 3 games leading up to that, why not play him? Do you think getting beat badly by the Texans, Cowboys or Chargers after the Bucs game will be any different for Mac? He doesn't have the history with BB & Tom to really care, neither does half the current team. However, if you think it's best Mac gets his feet under him for a month or two regardless, then that's a legit argument. And, if it causes a groundswell to sit Cam after a drubbing by Tom & Co., then I'm all for it.

over the middle, at the numbers, at the boundaries, down the field... Meyers has so far been better (in real games) at getting open all over planet Earth, relative to Harry

Is that the same thing as referring to yourself in the third person? Just asking

I agree. That is a media created thing. Seriously, if Mac Jones cannot mentally handle playing against Brady in week 4 (even if the Pats get blown out), he isn't our QB of the future. This is playing against the guy he will be replacing, not playing in a Super Bowl in his first month of his NFL career.

I am not sure Belichick will be starting Mac right out of the gate even if he is clearly the Pats' best QB. But I seriously doubt it has anything to do with Brady coming to town week 4. In fact, Belichick might see that as a good test of Mac's mental toughness to play vs. Brady. Belichick might want Jones to watch games from the sidelines to see the speed of the game before he gets started and shadow McDaniels to see how a game is called during an NFL game to get him acclimated to the difference from the college game. But that would be why Belichick might wait a month to start Jones, not because he is afraid to start Jones vs. Brady and mentally damage him some way.

If anything about Tampa, I might think Belichick might be concerned about Jones playing against a great Bucs defense (based how they played down the stretch and in the playoffs last year) than vs. Brady.
