Yes, I think you’re right. But I think it’s fair for people to not think it’s a day-to-day issue even if Bill didn’t say it.
No one knows. I suppose any guess is as fair as any other but it’s still
a guess.
Sure an illness that has lasted a week and a half sounds like it could be something that won’t go away tomorrow, but who knows? I just objected to the comment that belichick is telling people he’s not sure he will be healthy for camp (assuming you meant all of camp) when he said nothing like that.

Great post. Jake Andrews was a 4th round pick - he would have to be very weak to not make the team. It is doubtful he would make it to the PS. Historically guys like Boutte and Bolden are more likely to make the PS than Andrews. Having said that, it is a very deep draft, the Pats must be very happy with the last 4 drafts.
Andrews in a non-issue.

Every 4th rounder has made the 53 for the last 20 years.

Well, I guess some went to IR.

In any case, none has ever been cut under Belichick.

According to @Kenneth Sims in another thread, "Bill when asked about Anderson earlier this week said something to the effect of he didn’t know if Anderson would get back “this season” followed by a Bill ism that he didn’t have a “crystal ball”. If “this season” is in doubt, you would think it’s highly likely Anderson starts the season on NFI at least." So Lazar and Barth might be reporting from that. I need a shrug emoji.

Yeah but he didn’t say that.

Yes. Agreed. @Ross12 implied he might go to the PS which would mean he was cut and resigned. I agree with you and not Ross.

Yeah but he didn’t say that.
You’re right. I can’t find a second question about him. And Bill stopped holding the morning press conferences, so he wouldn’t have answered a question about him since.

Yeah, thinking on this more I do think it’s probably not likely he would be cut due to his draft status, fair points by you both.

It's an exceptional draft class. Lazar thinks Mafi has shown enough to possibly be the starting RG, with Onwenu to RT. That would be 6 starters: 3 defensive (1 at each level), 1 offensive, kicker and punter. Plus 5 or 6 others making the team or PS: Bolden, Boutte, Sow, Andrews, Speed, maybe Cunningham.

Does anyone know what's exactly going on with Calvin Anderson, cause he's a RT candidate too. He's been on an "illness" list since July 25th, 2 weeks ago.
I actually agree that Owenu at RT and someone else at G vs the other RT option is the better OLine, but it's not gonna happen. If it was, it would have already happened last year but Owenu never kicked out to RT despite how bad the other play was.

Yeah. I don't remember hearing so many rookies' names called in previous camp. Preseason is going to be really interesting to see if they flash against other teams.
You said it! Flashing against other teams is key. I'm always happy to see how our rookies, and young guys fare against the pre season competition. I believe the joint practices are some of the good the NFL has done during pre season. I'd want our key guys to get a few series and come out the game. The only thing that matters is week 1 and beyond.

Belichick has never cut such a rookie out of TC. He did cut one during his rookie season, but that was Kareem Brown in the 2007 season, which was sui generis.

I wonder if they'll look at adding Fluker if that is the case.. With 2 open roster spots, I'd be surprised if they didn't bring in another OT.

Anderson having being on the NFI list could possibly mean an illness he may be dealing with. I hope he will be ok if so. Nonetheless someone, who ever BOB and klemm put out there will have to man up and play sound. As I've said we are tested right away.. the song and dance.of preseason is all scripted. The eagles and beyond is all that matters going forward. The performance of the line is everything to the execution of the offense.

NFI = Illness or injury that occurred outside of normal NFL Football activities.

I'm clarifying this because College players who are hurt during the final season of College ball go onto the NFI list with the teams they've signed with.

Players who are already Pro, go onto NFI for sickness or if they got hurt on their own time (such as lifting or doing an outdoor activity).

Yeah... Kareem brown I believe it something off the field with him... the Same off season willie Andrews was busted in Lowell for drug trafficking
