Patriots trade for TE Martellus Bennett!

Bears have been trying for months to trade him and we get him on the cheap..i wonder why not more takers?

Were some worried about the stuff in the locker room with the Bears near the end?

The Bears soured on Bennett pretty early on when he complained and then they felt he was a locker room distraction. Fox obviously wanted no part of him.

I think he'll be fine in NE as long as he buys into being a team player.

You know, I'm still not entirely sold on Belichick coaching/GMing the team, but I think I'm really starting to come around. Still, if he could maybe somehow pull off a trade involving himself, for instance going to Jacksonville in exchange for Gus Bradley, I'd feel a little more comfortable with how this team's being run.

You know in all honesty I think BB was only a so-so GM when he started here. He has improved over the year in that regard and it has caught up with his coaching ability pretty well.

He use to make more bad moves than he does these days IMO. I know he did some good things in the 2000-2009 period but seems to have improved since that uneven time and has been consistently making good GM decisions.

I think the Jets have also made some good moves. If they can find a QB they could make some noise.

I think its ironic how the pro-personnel and draft decisions got better after Pioli left in 08 and became quite good in 2010 and to now.
