**** that, he's a dog.

I would take a flyer on him for the right trade price. He did have 11.5 sacks a few years back.

They could do that, but it would go against everything they have been preaching since Vrabel got here. He's always been a pretty boy me first player.

Or we could sign Clowney who had 8.5 sacks on limited snaps in 13 games last year....for no draft capital.

Clowney is up there in age.

You trade for Thibodeaux if you think he was misused or not a scheme fit under the Daboll regime and you think you can make him return to the double digit sack version of himself in his second season. You are looking to trade for a potential stud on the cheap.

Clowney is just a one year rental rotational guy.

Yup, and I think that's exactly what we need.
Jacas and Ponder offer youth and upside.
Jones and Landry offer experience and ability.
A one year rotational guy who is both good at pressure and against the run is what we need.

Clowney on a one-year would not be a terrible idea.

I've been pounding that drum for months.
He is only a stop gap, but he was very productive last year and should be cheap.

If he's a 20-25 snap-a-game guy, I wouldn't hate it.

If the Giants are so hell bent on acquiring average/below average receivers, why don’t they take Boutte & a late rounder for Thibadeaux?
If Boutte is available for a late round pick, the Giants must not want to pay him. I am not a big Boutte fan, but he clearly better than Juju, or Berrios, or Beckham Jr. The Giants must be thinking to keep filling holes with 1 year contracts while they look to keep drafting WRs.
