That's what I was thinking, it's like we're replacing our free agents with worse versions of themselves. I can only imagine what that means for our tackle and cornerback positions.

Pretty easy to connect the dots on this one. My guess is they'll approach Lloyd to either re-do his contract (if they even want him), or he's gone by COB today.

If he sticks, he should at least be an improvement over Branch. Either way, WR is still a big need early on in the draft. If Wilson signs, it should be a first round priority. If not, second round.

I don't think it necessarily means lloyd is gone, or edelman for that matter. There is no depth on this roster. This is, I hope, a depth move. I don't think Jones is going to replace Lloyd's 900 yds rec.

Think of the injuries that this team has had at the WR and TE position. Depth is a good thing.

Love the signing, he has decent speed 4.45-4.5 range, has excellent size at 6'1 and 215 lbs....just what the Pats need.
