What evidence is that? Hes carried the rock over 12 times in a game once.
I like itBurkhead

The ultimate group of underdogs and grit.
Like Rex Ryan, they decided based on pedigree/draft selection rather than ability. Somewhere midseason Marvin Lewis will ask himself, "why can't I sign players like this?"I love this signing. He may not look like it but he's an inside power runner (that can catch). Hope he gets a chance to prove himself.
22 carries for 119 yards vs. the Ravens. A much better RB than Hill but the Bengals found out too late.
Agree. By comparison, Marshawn Lynch was only 5'11 & 215lbs.You can be an effective through the tackles back at 215-220 lab's, especially if you're only 5'10. He's really good and lowering his pads, and even better at maximizing his yards by lowering his pads and falling forward for another 1-3 yards. He also has good lower body strength and excellent short area burst.
Can't we at least wait until Rob says it if it's so inevitable?
Great comment for NE. Not a good comment for LGB..
Yes sir, he has.
And he's pretty good at it.
Someone posted his KR stats earlier.
Just going by the eye test, and what I believe.
You're selling the guy way short.
He was on a badly coached Bengals team behind two backs that their own fans believed he shouldn't have been.
Holy smokes, DaBruinz! You have to take into consideration when he took the returns.. With the new kicking rules, things are different.. If he took short kicks that were outside the endzone and got 19 yards, that could be good.. But if he's coming out of the end zone and only getting 19 total, that's not so good..
The Bengals Kick Return unit was Top 3 in the league with an average of 25.7 YPR. But that is primarily thanks to Alex Erickson who averaged an astounding 27.9 YPR on 29 returns..
The Patriots, by comparison, averaged only 18.7 YPR, but they had 9 different people with returns including 3 by Develin and I'd bet they faced a lot more squib / onside kicks than other teams..
But they approximate rolesNobody replaces anybody
Not when said individual has a lengthy history as race hustler....Preemptively calling someone out for "pulling the race card" is, in fact, pulling the race card.
Things that make robertweathers go hmmmm.I go by past production. He very well may be a 200+ carry guy but he hasn't proven it yet.
Need to still bring in someone who has that potential or has done it before.
It takes two to make the running game go right. It takes two to make it out of sight.
First of all, that only is the case in the NFL.. Look at what he did in college.
Rex Burkhead College Stats | College Football at Sports-Reference.com
Burkhead missed time during his senior year due to a knee injury.. He was healthy by the Combine. He carried the ball more than 12 times in a game on numerous occasions.
Are you really going to hold it against him that he was stuck behind Hill and Bernard because Marvin Lewis has issues with talent evaluation?
Absolutely, when he got 10 touches against Philly, he was very evasive and the Philly announcers were incredulous that he was buried on the depth chart. Thanks toMArvin....The guy has been wasted in Cincy - and we have seen this story before. He is gonna get a real shot here - all the RB snaps are going to be up for grabs.
