Captain is smart enough to know Cajuste’s salary becomes guaranteed the moment he gets hurt which, based on his history, is the most likely outcome.

Cajuste's needs to not get cut before Camp for his salary to be "guaranteed the moment he gets hurt". And no, Capt. isn't smart enough to understand that. Apparently, neither are you.
