Looks like he still has PSquad eligibility.

Ehh, I'm not so sure about that. He got PS seasons in 2006 and 2008, no doubt. It's 2007 that's in question. He was signed to the Ravens' practice squad early in Week 12, so that's one week, then he was on it for the entire next week, then in the third week he spent six days on the PS and then was promoted on Sunday of Week 14. You need three "games" on the PS to get a season of credit, which would be his third and final in this case, and I believe the time he spent on the PS in Week 14 counts as one, as it does for his regular accrued credit.

Vrabel was younger and Pfifer had already had a long career.

True story, as we've learned by now...... most players don't follow the Vrabel path.
