Trollin Volin et al.. lazy. Pats fanatics know more than they do, maybe they should all fact check with Miguel before posting..
One would think it a COMMON SENSE thing to do when one has zero expertise in a complex area like cap management.
All the MCI had to do was go to Miguel's page or text him the question.
Instead, he puffs out his chest and puts out misinformation in an area in which he he FULLY KNOWS he's deficient. What's truly incredible is that he has done this repeatedly over the years and somehow hasn't learned the lesson. A 5 year old would be more aware.
It takes a unique character to do that in public. The man has the courage of William Huang.

I love how the MCI still kept digging his hole deeper TWICE after the first "..... so it sounds like a bit of a paycut" tweet:
Nathan Altshuler @AltshulerNathan 13h13 hours ago- Replying to @BenVolin
Due 5.5m, deal could easily be drop to 1m base and convert the other 4.5m to signing bonus. That wouldn’t be a pay cut.
Ben VolinVerified account @BenVolin 12h12 hours ago- The details will come out soon enough. I’m betting there’s a pay cut involved

Cap Space=$7,984,519 @patscap
Cannon did not take a pay cut. He simply turned his $5.5 million salary into a $1 million salary and a $4.5 million signing bonus. …

Pathetic.

Two points here:
2. Ben Volin is unfit to be the Boston Globe football reporter. Instead of seeing an amazing story of a team extending one of its best players to keep a unit together while giving itself some cap relief, he tweets like a moron about a pay cut. Every single year players all over the league convert salary to signing bonuses to make that money guaranteed, tack on a year or two their deal to spread out the cap hit, and buy themselves some time to possibly stay in the NFL. It's Pro Football 101. Will McDonough is spinning in his grave.
