interesting comment... in the kickers thread, i thought that the draft status of Borregales would be the tie breaker considering they have been neck and neck in the kicking competition
I dunno. A 6th rounder is by no means a lock. He certainly isn't sucking. Hes doing OK.

Is it just me or are there a lot of injuries this camp?
I was just thinking the same thing. Are they being extra careful with a lot of these guys? I really hope this isn’t what we’ve got to look forward to once the season begins.

My belief is they are being careful but yet we've had a couple of players land on IR.

We can't seem to ditch that name: strength and conditioning Coach.

I think that while "being drafted" isn't a tiebreaker, contract status has to play a part. If Romo wins the job, he's a free agent after this year. If Borregales wins the job, he's got at least 4 years left on his deal for very cheap money. Granted, Romo would be an RFA so they kind of still own his rights for next year, for all intents and purposes, and he'd still be cheap, but ultimately it is still 2 years vs 4 years.

They're both pretty young (Romo 25, Borregales 22) so I don't think age really factors in.

At least 4 years vs at least 1 year should be a consideration.
