I totally blame Mac Jones for your poor reading comprehension. It's his fault like everything else. Obviously.
Aiyuk = Moss

Mac = Montana

Blame BB

When you have the most cap space, and the barest roster being 11th in cash is not a proud statement. They did slightly more than just resigning the 4-13 roster and left 43 million unspent.
Thats not what a franchise that is serious about competing does.
They made a run at Aiyuk for top dollar so it looks like they are willing to spend.

They also sent a lousy coaching staff packing. Can't hurt.

It’s encouraging but at some point damn close the deal. I understand it takes two to tango, just frustrating, I was looking forward to having him on Madden.

I got plenty of material if you want me to blame BB for the last 4 years. Careful where yer stepping skippy.

I don’t care either way. Have all the coaches you want. But saying the Patriots had fewer coaches because Bill was greedy is the BB sucks crowd whining over fictional nonsense again. They should take it to the safe space the mods made for them.
Your going overboard now.. no one here is saying bill sucks.. how can we say that.. we are simply talking about the state of the team last few seasons. No one is personally attacking your hero.

Yup. I didn't think it was happening but the tease was frustrating.

Cutdown day will be interesting. Probably some talent there worth looking at.

Lol.. ok did you roll over and give Bill a kiss goodmorning?
Coaches don’t count against the cap, blame bologna Bob if you want to point fingers.

His own players voted him the cheapest owner in the NFL, a former head coach of him called him cheap… not fans here. Painful as that is for you… no need to make stuff up.

Ok why did bill take an extension then???

You can win without a “top WR,” you can’t win without even an “average/good” QB.
There is no one single ingredient present among all Super Bowl winning teams.

Having said that, in the modern NFL, it certainly improves your chances by having a strong passing game. The days of “run the ball, stop the run” are loooooooooooooooooong gone.

Where’s the part about Bill hoarding all the money… the part you invented?

Like Lynch being hired in San Francisco first… you guys make up these fictional stories and expect the rest of us to nod along… like media do.

Teams have to spend 89% of their cap over a 4 year period. You are making this a bigger deal than it is, he's going to pony up later down the line because of this and his team just made a massive offer that was declined that would significantly cut into your figure.

The Patriots got screwed because the cap got very extended in a year they had a ton of cap space and a lot of people that were speculated to be free agents ended up being able to get significant enough raises from their teams to stay so the free agent class was light.
Not even counting for increases 11% of the cap over 4 years is about 111,000,000 so if the answer is we can only leave 111,000,000 on the table so we should feel good, I’m not feeling good. We could be another 70,000,000 under in the next 3 years in top of what we didn’t spend this year.

Why are the patriots the only team that got screwed and couldn’t figure out how to bring in players to improve their 4 win team. I mean show me where there is certain and significant improvement. I don’t see it. If you are going to say it’s the draft, every team drafts that’s not an indication of effort to improve the team.
I think we are tanking. And it’s not tanking for a pick it’s tanking to not spend money because he wants cash back for a 4 win season, and hired an untested long shot to coach the team and won’t spend what’s need until he sees whether Mayo will make it.
It’s not good. Kraft grudgingly spent ti the cap but only with low cash to cap because belichick would win championships. Now we are not trying very hard to compete.

The Chiefs #1 WR two years ago was Juju, last year it was Rashee Rice who is Kendrick Bourne… laughable.

They didn’t get him did they?
They sent the GOAT packing and replaced him with maybe the least experienced HC ever and left him with 80% of a roster in terms of spending. (Probably less when you consider first year cap hits are low)
It’s a mess.

I've got news for you. The Patriots are year one of what is going to be a two to three year rebuilding process if they are massively successful at it. You don't need to spend a ton of money in year one to get short term rentals who will be past their prime or gone by the time the Patriots get good. And this year's free agent market was dominated by players at defensive positions that the Pats were pretty well set. The Pats need offensive help and there wasn't much out there. The top LTs were Trent Brown and a guy probably playing his last year in the league. The top WR was Calvin Ridley. The top TE was Hunter Henry (who the Pats re-signed).

And how was their overall passing game when you look at their QB and TE?

Whenever I say “passing game” you always conveniently leave out their quarterback and their tight end who, last time I checked, is part of the passing game. Why is that?

They didn’t get him did they?
By all reports, the player said he didn't want to play here. Nothing the team can do about that in the short term.
They sent the GOAT packing
He is/was not a good coach anymore. Time for a change.
and replaced him with maybe the least experienced HC ever
Every new coach is the least experienced ever until they aren't.

They spent big time in 2021 how did that turn out?

Welcome to a rebuild.
