I think it's a double/triple whammy with Kraft. He's obviously trying to keep any scandal off the team - especially one that relates to sex - after his massage incident. AB bringing up the massage incident was the second whammy. The third is that Kraft may think he has a chance to win his case against paying AB the signing bonus.

By signing him, Kraft would obviously agree to drop that appeal and pay him which is not happening due to the second whammy above.
