..with Houstons loss tonight, correct? This is HUGE

Yep. The only teams that can catch NE at the moment are BAL, PIT, and HOU. However, one of BAL and PIT will be the division winner and one will be the wildcard, who must be seeded below NE even if they have a better record.

Therefore, NE is only competing with HOU and one of PIT/BAL for the #2 seed. HOU is now 10-5. If NE wins one more game it is guaranteed at least 12-4 and so would either be the #1 seed or #2 seed, and either way get a bye.

This couldn't be shaping up better IMO. With the loss tonight it looks like the AFC north winner will get the bye and HOU / Denver will get the 3. I could easily see a 6 seed (pretty good chances it's the Jets or Bengals) winning against either team. That lets Pitt / Balt battle it out while we play the 6 seed. Then we just gotta win 1 tough home game to make it to the SB.

I want the round 3 with the Jets. I think a 45-3 repeat performance would be a good way to end their season.

They say that whoever is on a roll at the end of the regular season is usually the team that ends up in the SB regardless of what they did in the fall.

In that regards, besides NE who is on a winning streak....which other NFL team is really on a steamroll to the playoffs?

The Chargers are the only other team I can say are getting better in order to grab the final spot.

We won our final eight regular season games last year.

The Chargers won their final eleven regular season games in 2009. Neither team won a playoff game.

It just seems to be about how you play, on that given day, and the matchups you get.

The Pats and Saints are clearly the 2 hottest teams right now, each having won 6 straight.

Hope you are right......

Being on a roll to end the regular season, doesn't really mean much. Look at the Packers last year and the Giants from 07.
