Reported that Mike Vrabel will bring in Titans player personnel advisor Ryan Cowden. How he fits into puzzle remains to be seen but no official gm title.

The overhaul begins now. I still preferred Ben Johnson to get this wretched offense fixed. But if Vrabel hires the right staff surely something can be done to improve our bottom 3 nfl offense.

It could be, and hopefully that's the case, that some of those players will improve with better coaching.

Vrabel was a hot commodity and had MANY teams interested. Maybe Vrabel put pressure on Kraft to get this done quickly if he wanted to hire him, especially after the fiasco last year.

Waiting on an in person interview with Johnson would have been super risky as it might have pushed Vrabel into a hire with another team.


I think Kraft nailed this one.

Ain't buying it. Vrabel's 1st choice by far was the Pats. He would've waited.
Vrabel is a better poker player than Kraft.
So am I. He panicked. There was no need.

My hope is that Vrabel and his team are able to decipher which deserve an extra shot and which ones are just ‘not about winning’. And then, act accordingly.

From what I am hearing is Cleveland wants to hire him as their OC
How does that work if the
Patriots want to hire him for the same position
Does the team he is already employed by get the nod or can Rees choose

I'm pretty sure Rees can choose unless he accepts there first before being offered a job here.
They interviewed him for OC there, but they are also interviewing others.
There is also a question whether Stefanski takes play calling back which makes the OC position less desirable.

Mike was the safest choice to get us back on track and progressing forward so the choice was probably a no brainer and i don't think you can blame the Krafts if it doesn't work out.

I do feel like we might regret not taking the punt on Johnson and he was my first choice but one thing i am sure of is that we are now many steps away from the laughing stock that we were.
