And how does length then play into that?

You can Google "offensive line pass blocking" or "offensive line punch" and there are a ton of resources and techniques. It is not an easy answer. For example an offensive tackle, guard, and HB all set and block differently due to positioning, opponent positioning, movement, etc. Not and easy thing to answer like it would appear.

Realizing of course this is completely impossible. He was horrible last year, it wasn’t coaching and scheme like every other offensive player… it was just him.

Then he came to camp overweight and out of shape. No, you can’t believe BB when he said Brown arrived lighter than past camps… the expert eyes of the professional weight guessers on this site said he must be pushing 400+ pounds and a big liability.

The Pats also made the foolish mistake of playing him on the left side, when he clearly can’t. I mean, even though he did it at an All Pro level the entire season in 2018, according to pundits here he lost that ability.

Frankly I don’t know how he’s doing what he’s doing, even though he’s always done it in a competent offense and since Scar got his hands on him… it’s impossible I say.

Brown has been very good. If Strange can get his **** together, and if Lowe is the answer at RT, they’ll be in a pretty good spot on the OL.
Strange needs to get healthy, in the meantime Mafi has been good. He played almost 40% of the snaps against the Jets and nobody noticed. He didn’t let up a sack and the offense continued to pile up season high rushing yards.

At RT Lowe has already shown the ability to be capable. They also have Sow and Wheatley who have the skills and athleticism to be better than that.

The OL needs to stay healthy and build some continuity. If they do, they can become one of the better lines in the NFL.
