I could see a small trade down and then take Brock Bowers. Then trade up into the later 1st and grab a QB, or maybe just hang tight in the high 2nd. Sign Mike Evans or Tee Higgins in free agency. Retain Kendrick Bourne. Retain Mike Onwenu at RT. You are probably in a good spot, though LT is a question that may need a little creativity.

Bowers, hadn't thought of that. So you want to go into next year with Zappe, Mac and one of the second tier guys? Rattler/Nix/Penix? Then sign Evans or Higgins? I don't hate on it, but the line is still the line. I guess I would want a stud OT over Bowers, then do what you suggest.

I really want a top 5 pick and get a true difference maker right out of the gate.

Any trade down better be for an LT, if you don't like the QB available there.

Yeah, an LT is probably the safer and more sensible play and solves the aforementioned conundrum at LT. I just really like Bowers, and they have zero TEs signed next year.

An LT is probably the safer pick. I just really like Bowers. But yeah, let’s say they go with LT around 8th and take Penix at the tail end of the 1st. Like I said, take Evans or Higgins in free agency and re-sign Onwenu and Bourne. You would have most of your holes plugged on offense. You would still need TEs but could throw a few picks at the position and re-sign Pharaoh Brown. You’d get a decent pick from your trade down in the 1st and maybe a 4th for Mac.

Theoretically they could stand pat and just take the best LT there at their draft slot without trading down. But I don’t know if Joe Alt or whoever is leagues better than the second or third best LT.
