Hurley's obviously talking about points per game. They're second to last in scoring overall, albeit if the Giants score more than 10 this weekend they'll be back at the bottom.

I think if the Pats are competitive next week at home against the Chiefs, then win 1 out of 2 on the road against Denver and Buffalo and finish the season with a win against the Jets at home, it probably makes Kraft comfortable keeping Bill. Such a turnaround would kind of make it clear that the struggles this season were really on whatever is wrong with Mac Jones and not necessarily anything Bill or BOB did. Granted, Bill could have beefed up the OL more, but even if he had I don't know if we would have seen much of a different result here. Zappe was slinging it with the same group and much worse receivers last night.

In such a scenario, the Pats would finish 5-12 which might still be good enough for the #4 or #5 pick depending on how things shake out and strength of schedule.

And I think at 4-5 you'd still get one of the QBs. Although at 3, you'd likely have anyone you wanted. Heads'll explode here if he takes Fashanu, Alt, Latham or one of the edge guys. Based on what I read in very early mocks, he could trade back from 5 a bit and still get Daniels or McCarthy.

Yep. Couldn't believe some here called him trash at RT for losing on one play against potential HoFer Khalil Mack.

Sitting by myself in my (freshman at UNH) dorm's tv room watching the game...one of those moments not forgotten.

I called for his move to RT after week 3.

This is actually pretty interesting. Callahan points out that these are essentially the same play:

I’ll admit that I had rose colored glasses on back then. I hadn’t realized at the time how Mac threw that back footed with no rush in his face and room to step up in the pocket. Who knows if Ramsey still gets to it if Mac led Bourne like he should have by stepping up and not throwing back footed. Zappe did it correctly on his play.

Man 1st BB with the "roller coaster" and now BOB with the "calmly" - They're really subtly nut tapping Mac a fair amount. I can't wait for the book to come out with all the dirt.

Whose Book BB's or Mac's??

Wow, didn't catch that. Nice pick up.

I'll be surprised if they beat Denver in Denver.
0-4 or 1-4 is most likely, but I give them a puncher's chance in each game individually..

Expect the worst. Hope for the best. I mean... Chef Russ is 3-0* against the Patriots, so they can't possibly beat him.

I could see a small trade down and then take Brock Bowers. Then trade up into the later 1st and grab a QB, or maybe just hang tight in the high 2nd. Sign Mike Evans or Tee Higgins in free agency. Retain Kendrick Bourne. Retain Mike Onwenu at RT. You are probably in a good spot, though LT is a question that may need a little creativity.

Any trade down better be for an LT, if you don't like the QB available there.

When was 21 points a lot of offensive points to make a huge dent in the scores per game 11 games in the season? I just checked and there are only 13 teams averaging less than 21 PPG. I didn't think last night would have changed the Patriots from being last in PPG after the last four weeks prior to this game.
