Patriots Coaching Tracker: None

NFL Coaching tracker
added Miami Dolphins who fired Vic Fangio, now need a DC
Cincinnatti hired/promoted Dan Pitcher to OC (interviewed for Pats OC 1/22)
added Mike Vrabel to Carolina Panthers HC list
added Mike Sullivan to Saints OC list
added Jerrod Johnson to Eagles OC list
added Kliff Kingsbury to Raiders OC list

Watched today’s Andrew Callahan/Jeff Howe podcast, Howe said that he doesn’t think it’s very likely that NE will have an actual GM but that he also is pretty sure they will promote someone into a role that is “in charge” of personnel decisions before free agency, and he seemed to imply it is probably Eliot Wolf. Not really a big surprise there, but figured it was worth sharing. Hopefully we get some actual confirmation on that soon.

That great. As long as it's not Groh.

Any intel on if its Matt Groh vs Eliot Wolf?

Or is it just assumed that Groh leaves/is fired...

Just spit ballin but the latest episode of Patriots unfiltered thought that Groh would leave and Wolf would stay.

Groh leaving only makes sense if he follows BB out of Foxborough... Otherwise, who's walking away from a front office job voluntarily?
Yeah, these guys could be as wrong as the next guy but would they be closer to the sources etc....will see

This seemed inevitable once Callahan moved on. And as I said earlier, if Cincinnati didn't want to promote him for some reason, we probably shouldn't want him as our OC either.

I want Zac Robinson hired as OC. I think he has the best resume. I'm getting nervous. Without a good OC, this team is doomed.
Resume:
2019-2020 - Asst QBs Coach - Rams
2020-2021 - Asst WRs Coach - Rams
2021-2022 - Asst QBs Coach - Rams
2022-2023 - QBs Coach/Pass-Game Coordinator - Rams

Groh has to go!!!
why? - don't answer, its rhetorical.

Update 1/25

Patriots Tracker Update: Patriots DC candidate Gerald Alexander hired by Las Vegas as Safeties coach

So looks like Covington to DC more than likely.
Post Conference Championship games, the hiring cycle should be in full swing... expecting a lot of dominoes to fall in quick order because of the Super Bowl bye-week.

Reminder for folks - this thread is primarily for news updates. For discussion, go to the Mayo's staff thread.

Update - (see the post on this site) per Adam Schefter, Atlanta Falcons hire Raheem Morris as Head Coach

Added LA Rams to the tracker (DC)
