Looks like I'll need to have a roster sheet handy with me if I go to training camp. No idea who these guys are aside from Lloyd and Gallery.

BB is maneuvering like a man who's not going to worry about trading down for camp bodies in this draft.

He has not a fifth, sixth or seventh. Maybe you are onto something.

the problem is that Josh is a horrible judge of talent (see Maroney/Jackson). Daboll was the smart one when it came to judging offensive talent at WR.

Speaking of overall effective offensive talent evaluation, possibly O'Brien as well, judging by the Hernandez/Gronkowski and potentially the Ridley/Vereen picks.

Now that I think of it, wasn't the Kevin O'Connell pick in part a result of Josh's recommendation?

If you're going to cite Maroney/Jackson, wouldn't that also be an indictment against BB?

Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker, Zane Beadles & JD Walton

Not bad picks by McDaniels when he was at Denver - 2 starting WR's and 2 starting offensive linemen.

He also picked Moreno & Tebow though.

Yes.. It is.. If you read WarRoom, his supporting those picks cause a lot of dissent among the scouting and coaching ranks..

He also picked Robert Ayers, Alphonso Smith (who he traded up to get).

Daboll wanted no part of Jackson, but for whatever reason, Belichick was enamored with him.

• Scouts were ticked off in 2006 that Belichick overrode their reports and picked Laurence Maroney in the first round (apparently on the strong advice of Josh McDaniels' brother Ben, one of the Maroney's college coaches) and Chad Jackson in the second round -- even after receivers coach Brian Daboll said he didn't want to coach Jackson.

In addition to drafting Maroney, he then traded a high 4th round pick for him after everyone already knew he sucked.

He traded a future first round pick to draft A Smith in the second round who he cut a year later.

And finally, he traded Peyton Hillis for Brady Quinn.
