Yep. Twenty-seven-year old noodle arm.DeVito has ALWAYS been awful.
Source.Across DeVito’s eight starts, he produced a net of 122.6 passing yards per game.
DeVito did not even spark the Giants to perform well as a unit. The Giants averaged 16.8 points per game in his starts, which shrinks to 14.9 after removing defensive touchdowns.
And statistics show he was ranked 46 out of 47 QBs with over 100 drop backs. Only Zach Wilson was worse.
The backup QB situation could be an issue. Considered the second most position by some league execs.
Patriots should have claimed a developmental QB on the waiver wire who has a live arm and is young. Like Kyle McCord.
