He was waived to make room for Shaq Leonard. Eagles wanted to sign Elliss back if he cleared waivers. They expected to put him on their PS and elevate him for some game day action. So it sounds like he was a numbers casualty that we hopefully benefit from.

Goddamn right Sam! I can’t believe the 49ers didn’t put McCaffrey on waivers just so the Patriots could claim him? ****ing Belichick, he can never get other teams to give away their stars on offense when you really need them.
