the patriots
the broncos
the cowboys
the flames
the raptors
the blue jays
leeds united

and a poster on numerous forums for each team.....

i would just like to say that i find this to be the most intelligent message board around (narrowly edging the blue jays and leeds)......congratulations....

(attn cowboys and flames fans: go back to school)

Cowgirls, donks and Pats, eh? That's what I call hedging your bets ...

If this site is better than the rest (I spend enough time on this site without touring others!) then I think that there are three reasons.

The Patriots are going through a great time and most fans can remember what came before. So the fans here don't have a sense of entitlement (for the most part) and are prepared to try to see the reasons for whatever decisions are made by the ownership and management.

Ian and the mods do a great job. They don't intervene much and are certainly not ban-happy, but, if things go too far, they will do something. Never let a chance go by to say "thank you" to them"!

The Political Forum has been (I say this as someone who never posts there) a great success. People who are passionate and/or agitated have somewhere to post which is moderated with different ground rules -- and it seems to work.

Leeds, intelligent? WTF! (Not that I am biased as a Man Utd fan from Manchester, or anything).

The only other site I frequent is www.redissue.co.uk, which is for the more, erm, vocal element of United's support. I find it amusing as it is FULL of profanity, OT threads and whatever. Only racism and so on get you banned. Patsfans is good for my brain and Red Issue is good for a laugh.

wll i didn't say all of the leeds sites were intelligent...but one of the ones i like is....and they're all good for a laugh or two....

a manu fan from manchester???? wtf!! are you sure you don't live in milton keynes?

as for the comments about hedging my bets with pats, boys and broncs....i'll have you know that i've been cheering for all since i was a young lad in the seventies (the pats since i lived in barrington in '79).....subsequent success for these teams has been very welcome indeed, but tough to explain to my nfl friends...i get a lot of bandwagon comments......but the fact that my other favourite franchises are (were) the expos, wpg jets, leeds, raptors should demonstrate that my ability to pick a winner is strictly limited to the nfl
