It's so so tough being in NY area as a Pat fan listening to all the ball washing for Manning. The sports mediots here are literally drooling over the prospect of Manning winning the SB so that they can say with no doubt that he is the GOAT or atleast better than Brady. It's kind of sickening.

And to just think what if Pats were playing in the SB in enemy territory. I would have loved every minute and second of it!

Anyways - have to live vicariously through the Seahawks and hoping against hope that they dismantle Manning and the Broncos.

Pat fan...but currently a pseudo-Seahawks fan....

That's why I dont bother watchin or listenin to Mediot Haters or reading NY News & Post.

BRADY, ALL DAY EVERY DAY especially on Superbowl Sunday Over ANYBODY!

If Peyton wins another one then he will finally truly belong in the discussion. When you have greats with multiple rings it is hard to lean on your regular season accolades to win a spot at the GOAT table. But if Peyton can get multiple rings than he belongs and I have no problem with that and I have no problem then if you choose him as the best but until then it is wrong to include him.

Choosing Peyton with 2 rings as your best is not much different than choosing TB with 3 even though Joe has 4. It will take alot for me to stop calling TB the GOAT but it is not a question that has a clear answer and sans TB or Peyton tieing or passing 4 there will likely always be a debate until someone gets 5 or 6 rings (or at least 4 with a loss or two like TB and Peyton still could do obviously TB being more likely as he already has 3).

I think a key here would be not to make your selection based on your hatred of rivals though.

Basically I see TBs 3 rings plus two losses plus the Stats he has that are better than Joe's as my case for him being number one.

Obviously Joe's 4 rings and stellar career numbers in a different passing era make him a solid choice for one.

You can make a similar case I made for TB for Elway.

I personally dont think that Aikman or Bradshaw belong in the conversation despite their multiple rings because I just dont feel their skill and overall career was as good. Certainly great just not quite as good as the above.

then IMO if Peyton were to rip off 3 in a row 3 out of 4 to wrap his career with a total of 4 then he would IMO undoubtedly be number one. Now obviously that would be insane but the real point for Peyton is that he needs the multiple before he is even at the table. One puts him at the table, 2 might be enough to make him the goat in most peoples minds and 3 would end the debate.

IMO TB is the GOAT right now but one more from him would end the debate.

Yeah I know what you're talking about, I was leaving in Manhattan last time we went to the SB, that brings me not so good memories.

I watched the game in a pub right in front of the B&H Store, Twins pub, something like that, decent place. Full of Giants fans and I was there with my Patriot hat and drinking a lot, almost at the end of the game I bet a drink with a Giant fan, and then Welker dropped that F..ing ball and I had to pay the drink and listen a lot of crap.

By the end of the game I was so

that the bartender kept giving drinks for free to me, I got so wasted I don't really remember how I managed to go home.

The game is fixed. The Seahawks will uncharacteristically play soft, Manning will suck worse than ever (unless the cold and snow subsides) but the Seahawks will let them win regardless, because it's Goodell's plan. Goodell might even build a temporary roof over the stadium for the game. Might as well get used to an extra two weeks of Manning overrate.

Good thing I'm out in the south, where talk about the SB seem to be nonexistent. I guess, we're not interested in Manning or the Seahawks here.

I really haven't noticed it. The only extra publicity I've noticed is Fox's "Road To Glory" which I haven't watched once.

I guess this post is a shot at me. MY point is always..the ref crew determines how the game is played and what kind of penalties are not called versus tose that are. Last year was THE perfect example....two hard hitting ,often penalized teams...1 defensive backfield penalty all game. The Torrey Smith foul, the mugging in the EZ by the Ravens secondary, clear mukltiple PI fouls...no call. Ray Ray goes out a champion...Ray Ray goes right into a corporation chair, where promos are already spinning "Two time Super Bowl winner Ray Lewis will..."...just another in a long line of coincidences...I getr it... I don't believe it...I don't believe in long strings of coincidences to explain what is clearly a walking ,quacking, waddling, white feathered bird with an orange beak.

Now on radio Mike Fatseca is claiming that Brady did nothing in the first SB win as a QB and that Mannings post season stats are scrutinized too much and that Brady has had some horrible post season games. Also - claiming that Mannings teams have lived and died because of Manning and that he is the only reason for their success whereas Brady has relied on other parts of the team so not all credit goes to Brady. Oh yeah - and that Brady won his first 3 SB when he was too young and didn't know what had hit him so they basically don't count as much as if he had won now. This is all from the fatso.

All that and then Faulk and Warner whining about Spygate...these so called men are acting like women and can't let up something that was so long ago.

The whole NFL establishment and players want Manning to win.

Oh please oh please let Manning lose and play horribly doing so. 2 pick 6's and 5 sacks and Seahawks winning 26-3 will be perfect to shut these mediots up!

Most of us understand and recognize the literary tool called exaggeration for emphasis and your use of it is noted. However, there is no doubt in my mind that virtually the entire league, not to mention most of the country, is rooting for the All American Hillbilly and the Broncos vs. Sherman the Thug and the Seahawks. I never (emphasis added) underestimate the power of the officials to determine who wins. I know the refs are affected, particularly late in games, by the crowd (largely pro-Denver, I'm guessing) and whichever team seems to be the people's choice. Ray Lewis and the lack of a deserved call against his team at the end of last year's SB is a case in point. All of this leads me to conclude that it will be very, very difficult for Denver to lose this game. Just my opinion.

Mike Francesca has been, many many times, a big supporter of Brady, and just as often a powerful critic of Eli Manning. What you say above is not in the least representative of his overall comments on these two qbs.

Also, your words laced with words like "fatso" and female... show your bigotry and very slanted opinion.

Speaking in general to this topic, I doubt that there is any fan base in the NFL that is tougher on their own team and players than that residing in NYC. Listen to the post-game shows of the Jets, for example.

I know the feeling, try being patriot fan in federal hill Baltimore. Im soooo tired of the word spygate. Last yr was kinna rough bout this time. but what really agrivates me with this whole manning mania nobody brings up. Manning was cut by the colts. He was able to shop a talented team lacking a qb. If he wins a ring,i think its a lil cheesy. Would he had made it to the superbowl with the rebuilding colts this yr?? Suppose tb shopped most talented team this yr. Like say up and coming rams with lots young talent, 2 high draft picks and lots of capspace to load a team for next couple of yrsth or the bengals or browns.
