How is Mitchell, at 28, a declining vet? Mitchell is a damn good gunner and special teamer who has also seen starting time with the Saints.

The others, I agree with you. In all honesty, I don't know if Hawkins makes this team. Same with Chad Scott.

You're right about Mitchell, DB. In retrospect, I should not have included "declining" in that particular category.

The fact that Mitchell was IR'ed for an upper-body injury, instead of a lower-body injury, should hopefully mean that his wheels are still sound. He was a quality STer for the Saints, and I think he can bring a needed physical presence there, and possibly on regular D.
