Yeah...I recall 07, when Moss didn't play in the pre-season...

peeps were saying he would get cut...

From ESPN.com in 2007:

Moss, acquired from Oakland in a draft-day deal, missed most of training camp with a hamstring injury and it was unclear how much of an impact he would have with his new team, or if he'd even play against the Jets.

In the end, Moss made all the difference.

As pointed out, Bodden played vs the Jaguars and vs the Bucs before suffering an unknown injury in the Bucs game that held him out for the rest of the pre-season. Media reports were that it wasn't serious, and sure enough, he's been practicing this week and is in line to start on Monday night.

Well, it was more than that number but less than the number of tweets he sent over the past 24hours.

Let's rewrite the pre season. Bodden takes 45 snaps a game and goes out for the season in Game 4. Or Bodden is carefully tuned up, take out for a few reps, and then put away for the season. Bodden may only have 15-30 games as a prime player left in his career, so by all means let's take care of him.

Now if he had been hurt and done for the season like I wrote above the weeping weenies would be second guessing that - wouldn't they.

Yeah. Guess you kind of missed my feeble attempt at tongue-in-cheek humor there, Mo! LOL!

What I meant was he has been so quiet, I have not even noticed his presence on the field!

Since I TiVO every game and watch them 2-3 times during the week, naturally, I have seen our old friend Leigh in the two Florida games - Jags & Bucs. But I am just wondering where the "impact" is.

McCourty? Everywhere.

Butler? Yup, even he shows up around the ball from time to time, albeit mostly on the second team, and he ended up getting cut.

Bodden? Silent. Under the radar. Still on the team. Belichick must love the guy. I hope I do to in 2011!
