Mostly what I’ve read and heard. Seems they asked Harry to slim down and he doesn’t really seem to have improved with quickness at all by doing so. Not many highs and a few lows on the day-to-day reports. He’s not flashing. Granted I realize flashing in minicamp isn’t necessarily the biggest deal, but his peer Zuber was “flashing” several times and also plays special teams and can be the KR. So it’s a combination of things. Why do you say "honestly feel" Harry is on the hotseat? What makes you think that? Something you read or saw?

Good catch. Now I’m looking at Wino. Hard decisions.Where's Ronnie Perkins?

I think we are looking at IR / PUP / PS legit or not for 2-3.Would bb trade winovich during training camp?
Sure, if he thought that Bentley were a better player.Would bb trade winovich during training camp?
My ridiculously too early prediction (fully aware that they're likely bringing someone new in, that some lock might get traded or sit out - Gilly).
Harry has to fight like mad to stay on this team, even with the cap advantage (they lose $500k in CAP if they cut him). I think he stays, but they might find a trade partner.
Nixon is my Ernie sentimental pick.
Michel ain't goin' nowhere.
Taylor on the PS to start. He'll get his chance this year with the inevitable injuries.
Keene to the PS (protected).
Bentley should make the team, but Langi is a favorite of mine, so Bently to the PS (protected)
Cowart is a painful cut, but he just isn't living up to his potential from all I read or saw.
Bryant and/or Williams are fighting for a spot, as is Jackson.

EDIT: I forgot Winovich, but agree that he might get shipped out of town.
There have been reports of him not looking ready. It's early...but I have him on IR.
Re Ronnie Perkins.....I also wondered what was happening to him as I had heard little or no mention in the camp media comments. I did find one comment (NESN) that he is maybe finding the transition to outside LB challenging.....even if this is true I would still think he will be a very good player
Totally agreeWhere does this idea come from that the Pats have players fake injuries in order to take a red shirt year? The obstacles to having that be a regular practice are enormous and very risky.
It's been something I've read/heard here and there over the last couple weeks, but here's a video from Lazar & Alex Barth specifically about Harry I just recently watched:Any references I can read or listen to?
The Winovich situation feels a little bit weird. He almost seemed to be in the "doghouse" last year, and now this year he was inexplicably absent for several days despite not seeming to be injured, and no explanation was given that I could find. It could certainly be nothing, but it just strikes me as strange. Maybe he's traded, maybe he makes the roster and is very productive in sub packages. Dunno.Good catch. Now I’m looking at Wino. Hard decisions.
I said Wino but meant Bentley. I agree the situation feels strange. If I were to guess what it’s about...he wants to be a 3 down player but was not very good against the run. Maybe he’s voiced his displeasure with not being on the field more. Nothing wrong with doing that but maybe he went about it the wrong way. Let’s see what he does in TC.The Winovich situation feels a little bit weird. I honestly feel like Harry really needs to step up or he will be flipped for a 5th. Why keep a dude hoping he steps up and risk losing the other guy (Zuber) on waivers when you could just keep the guy who still has potential and recoup a pick for Harry?
I honestly think if Zuber shows he has more value to the team than Harry, Harry will be gone. The thing is his skill set is overlapped as KR / gadget guy which is something Gunner does and others can do as well, but having size and being a contact receiver is something Harry (allegedly) does but neither of the other guys do. The real issue is the others are pretty good at what they are doing yet Harry has not shown that he does what the team wants (blocking, detailed route running, catching in traffic) at a high level. To me that's the core issue. If Harry doesn't show improvement he's gonna be gone, but the cost will be losing the things the team wanted from Harry. Maybe they'll find a WR some other team cuts at the deadline that has size and can block and both will be gone.Mostly what I’ve read and heard. Perhaps they carry both guys, but with the potential focus on multiple TE formations, or at least a focus on the TE, I can’t envision them keeping all of Meyers/Agholor/Bourne/Olszewski/Harry/Zuber. Gunner will stay as the PR so that makes me feel the fifth spot is the last spot.

It's not fake injuries. This is a league-wide practice where even minor injuries that can be "played through" in other circumstances are used as the basis for IR. In addition "pre-existing" conditions can also be utilized such as physical therapy or even minor "cartilage cleanup" and the like. It's not breaking the rules, it is interpreting liberally.that the Pats have players fake injuries
