lol, you haters kill me. You better hope that you do not get your wish and play in our stadium as the city and fans hate you just as much as you hate us. SB 46, is going to be crazy in Indy. If Peyton Manning gets all of his receiving corp healthy and we get the number 1 seed next year in theory we would never have to leave home to win a SuperBowl and have a chance for the perfect season again all rapped up in one year! Not 18-1 but 19-0 that is my wish! Maybe the world will end in 12-21-2012 or something like that but we would still be the last SuperBowl team with that record whether it ended or not.

I cannot wait! I have never been to a superbowl game but I am going to that one. Just like I went to the game in 2007 when we beat you guys.

You need to keep your eyes on the ever dangerous Jets, who seem to have your number as well before you worry about conference opponents. We do not care if you or the Jets show up we hate you both equally.

Now with all of that hatred spewed, I will say I admire the hell out of Tom Brady and Wes Welker. They have earned my fear and respect. You guys have a hell of a team. However, I have to support my home team first though. SB46/2012 is going to be the Colts year!

Go bet everything you own.

I'm confused, first you talk like you are an Indy fan, then you state that you have never been to a super bowl, THEN you say you were there in 2007 when you beat the pats. So then you must be a Giants fan and attended the super bowl in 2007. Maby your post is just uninformed verbal diahrea. Hopefully this is not indicative of all fans in your franchise because it does not speak well for them. Time to wake up now!

I would not bet on the Colts breaking the host super bowl string of 0-45 in super bowls......fugettaboutit

I love your optimism!

Now feel free to join us in the real world.

That statement threw me for a curve as well, but after thinking about his horrendously worded post, I think what he meant was he has never been to a Super Bowl but he did go to the NE-Indy game in January 2007.

That's not an entirely accurate statistic. I believe something like 7 Super Bowls were hosted in college-only stadiums. So there really was no NFL team as a host.

Can't be so, our only loss was in the super bowl in 07(read his post refering to beating the Pat in 07) . Why dig for excuses for the troll.

January of 2007 (the playoffs) is considered the 2006 season. The 2007 Patriots only loss was in the Super Bowl against the Giants (which was played in calendar year 2008), but the 2006 Patriots lost in January, 2007, to the Colts in Indianapolis. That's the game I think he is referreing to.

I'm not making excuses for the chump. Just saying my interpretation of what I think his poorly worded statement meant.

Re: Our REAL chance to say FU to Polian comes next season

I personally never need a reason or an excuse to say FU to Polian.

:yeahthat: and here's why- he was instrumental in ****ifying the game just so his boy Peyton wouldn't feel a thing. It's because of him that the defensive rules got changed, that is after The Forehead was humiliated in Foxboro and our defense pummelled them. Wasn't it Polian who spirited the team off in the middle of the night? LOL
And I'm with Deus- if Peytie's fading they're screwed, at least for now. The bad news is that Polian will make money no matter who wins or loses but definitely- I'd LOVE to see the Pats nail them in their brand new house

Re: Our REAL chance to say FU to Polian comes next season

When there's a "new dog" in the race (the NYJ), and the Patriots have not demonstrated that they can play well against them with any regularity, I don't have much confidence in getting to the Super Bowl.
Since when does any NFL team play another "with any regularity" other than teams within their own division? If you're referring to the Ravens, did you not notice the Pats have beaten them five of the last six times they met? As far as the Jets go the two have played five times in two years. The closest possible outcome (with no ties) is for one team to be up 3-2 but be outscored in the process; and for one team to finish ahead in the regular season but the other to go further in the playoffs. I don't know what alternate outcomes could result in more of a standstill than what has actually occurred in the last two seasons.

Guess what: sometimes another team acquires talent, tries hard, and executes well; sometimes that other team wins. Nobody wins a championship every single year at this level - especially one that is going through a phase in which they are replacing almost every starter on their defense.

It almost seems like it's a matter of "just get in" and see what happens.
Ironically this is a huge point that seems to have been overlooked by 98% of Patriots Nation. Perhaps it is time for some Pats fans to re-read Education of a Coach and Patriot Reign. Has everybody forgotten the Kraft - Belichick philosophy of winning given the restraints of free agency and the salary cap? "Just get in and see heat happens" is exactly what the Patriots are all about.

Aside from aspects such as spreading your budget through the whole roster, one of the major principles was to think long term just as much as short term; the idea was to get into the playoffs as often as possible and roll the dice from there. You see the same philosophy with the draft; a lot of draft picks gives a better chance than banking on one or two.

The people that yearn for this team to go all out on one draft pick, or all out on trying to win it all in one season would be better off walking away and finding another team to root for; that's just totally counter to this management's philosophy on how to run the organization.

Yet for some reason many have not only not figured this out; they keep on hoping or expecting the Pats to pull a 180 and act like the Cowboys or Redskins and 'go for it all now, who cares about the future'.

Here's a clue: that's not going to happen anytime soon.

The Patriots balance short term and long term goals. Not to get political, but there are a lot of corporations that would have been better off had they thought the same way over the last twenty or thirty years. What that philosophy has given us as Patriot fans is a very competitive team year after year - something unprecedented during the salary cap / free agency era.

Why so many here want the Pats to abandon this plan and this philosophy is baffling to me. But the bottom line is that it is highly doubtful the Patriots are going to suddenly change their ways; may as well either accept it, or find another team like the Jets or the Redskins that fits your style and way of doing business.

Colts will be a contender again next year, they had so many injuries. Clark was a huge loss, and I believe they lost most of their secondary.
