I'm firmly on the fence about Aiyuk. On one hand, we could really use a legit #1. We have the cap space. Even if dumping JSS costs, Brandon would be FAR better than Parker & JSS. Especially since it's likely Bourne won't be ready out of the gate.

On the other hand, I don't know how Aiyuk is as a teammate, and since he's not a rare speed guy, would he just hinder Polk & Baker's development? Are we at the place as a team that we don't want a "big name" offensive talent to disrupt the organic growth that simply has to develop?

At this point play the kids and coach them hard to get a better feel for what you have in them. Then evaluate next offseason season if you want to invest more in the position or if you're happy with how the kids are progressing.

Sadly nobody is trading for JuJu and we do not have even have a spot for aiyuk. If we get aiyuk we need to release juju ,Thornton , boutte and 1 of either Bourne / Osborne. To be honest considering this the year of experimentation, we should roll in with all potential wide receivers so that we can avoid drafting or trading for one next year and focus next year completely on OT, RB and defense . We need a solid edge player . Judon and Uche are free agents next year.

Let's hope baker,Polk and Douglas show wr 2 potential and production . That should negate the need for a wr1.

Aiyuk is slightly younger Juju… what’s the point? Polk or Baker could develop into Aiyuk or better, just roll with what you have.

Also Juju only has one year left on his contract, trading him would be easy… especially after preseason if some teams suffer some WR injuries. He’s not paid that much.
