If Jackson is such a excellent passer then why does' he only have 302 pass attempts? Ranked last in the NFL.

Herbert 512 pass att.
Allen 460 pass at.t
Hurts 454 pass att.
Williams 568 pass att.
Shampoo 560 pass att.
Nix 612 pass att.
Darnold 477 pass att.

Maye has 492 pass attempts and I know what that is. Because Maye is a superb passer. Maye would rather hang in the pocket and pass.

Maye doesn't have that great a cast. They look as good as they do because of Maye and his accuracy and decision making. Williams is a rookie. Boutte has not looked the same after injury. Pop isn't tearing it up at all. Henry, Diggs, Rahm, Hooper and Hendo.

Jackson has Henry, Flowers, Likely, Andrews, Bateman. Jackson doesn't pass more because he is a liability and the Ravens limit his risk.
Your post led me down a mini rabbit hole. Maye had 50% more snaps than Lamar this year. Considering BAL has the 2nd best rushing team (3rd in att, with Bills at the top for both), that's understandable.

I had no idea Lamar is so far (per NFL Reference for eligible candidates) the all time career leader for 1) Adjusted Yards Gained per pass attempt and 2) Passer Rating.

Plus "Drake Maye is playing with the greatest tight end in the history of the New England Patriots, Hunter Henry." -TB12

Meanwhile, perhaps we can assume he'll share whatever pertinent Pats intel he has with his brother.
He probably would have done that anyways. There was a story once where Belichick told Cowher how to beat Denver. They did and went on to win the SB.

He sat Henry against us in the 4th. This was a fireable offense.

During the 4th quarter broadcast, Collinsworth was like "Do you think the Patriots have to send a thank you note to the Ravens for not putting Derrick Henry in the game for this drive?" It was freaking bonkers, I assumed he was injured.

I mean...thank you. It certainly helped us. But What the F was he thinking?!

It was really odd. Not as odd as M Butler benched in the SB, but 2nd place to that.

To be clear it was 8 plays and 6 were passes.

If Lamar were our QB, posters would consider him one of the top 3 or 4 QB's in the NFL.

BAL is the best team in the North and will be as long as Lamar plays for them.

If Jackson was the Patriots QB and delivered the same regular season/playoff results, a third of the posters here would be calling him something clever, like Lachoke.

Baltimore opening you say? Will Baltimore's native son come walking through the door?

Seriously, though, Stefanski has to be on a short list somewhere for this.

Jackson's dead cap if traded is insane. It's something like $80 Million.
That's incorrect.
His dead cap hit is 86M if he's CUT prior to June 1st.
His dead cap hit is 57.5M if he's traded prior to June 1st and only 22.5M if traded after June 1st.

A pre-June 1st trade actually frees up $17M for Baltimore.
A Post June 1st trade frees up $52M.

Two MVP's (nearly three), 3x all pro, and can clearly be a game changer. If he is not a franchise QB than who is?

The Ravens will get so many calls from coaches looking to interview.

Lamar Jackson is not the same player that he was. The injuries have caught up to him.
Jackson doesn't win with his arm. He wins with his legs.

There are some serious issues with him.

1623 fewer yards on 124 fewer completions and 172 fewer attempts while missing 4 games.. He had 20 fewer passing TDs this year as well.

He's have had to put up 406 yards and 5 TDs in those 4 games to equal what he did last year..

2024 is looking more like an aberration than his norm when you look at his other years. In the 5 years prior to 2024, he averaged just 2937 yards and 24 TDs

Jackson had half the number of rushing attempts this year amounting to 38% of the number of yards to the year prior.

Sorry, but I wouldn't build a franchise around him. Especially after the comments he made.

Derrick Henry

Then explain the CAREER year Jackson had passing in 2024 with Henry on the team.

Jackson had 316 completes on 474 attempts, 41 passing TDs, 4 Ints and took just 23 sacks. while playing all 17 games.

That's an average per game: 18.6 completions, 27.9 attempts, 2.4 TDs, .24 ints, and 1.4 sacks

Compare that to 2025: (13 games)
192 completions on 302 attempts, 20 Passing TDs, 7 ints, and 36 sacks.

That's an average per game: 11.3 completions, 17.8 attempts, 1.17 TDs, .54 Ints, and 2.1 sacks

Trying to point to Henry as the reason for Jackson's numbers says you couldn't be bothered to look at the previous year and what Jackson did with Henry on the team.

This season the Ravens had 505 total rushing attempts. The Pats had 494 total rush attempts - Rahm and Hendo had more attempts, than Henry.

In 2025, Jackson missed 4 games where he did not start and 50% of the NE game when he hurt his back. He attempted 190 fewer passes than Maye. The 2 games this season where Jackson attempted 30 + passes were both losses with an INT in each game.

I think they will fire Harbaugh.

Just an educated guess.

I think you are right and went to the betting apps to try and put some money on that but oddly they aren't posting that option.

I owned Henry in fantasy this year. He sat at the end of A LOT of games. Sometimes it made sense because they were in low clock, pure pass situations. But much of the time it didn’t really make much sense.

To be clear it was 8 plays and 6 were passes.

Henry ramped the ball down our throats the previous series, so why this ratio with another RB?

It was the 4th quarter. What were they saving him for?

Certainly not a fireable offense by itself for a proven coach like Harbaugh, but definitely made no sense.
