I'm with The Boston Patriot above, I don't hate it and in fact I kind of like it. Given the amount of agitation about nicknames at this point, I'm finding myself gravitating towards believing its better to simply forgo nicknames. Isn't that what is done in Europe, for example, for professional soccer?

We could end up with the Washington Windex instead. Maybe the Washington Whoopie Pies.

The Pats could become the NE Nabiscos, or if we want to keep the initials the same, the NE Palmolives.

The Dallas Dunkins vs Miami Munchkins game would be a hot ticket.

Just keep the name “Redskins” & use a redskin potato as the logo..

Washington Transients would be appropriate.

Washington Idiots?

Washington Irrelevants?

This guy was supposed to be the real deal. His rookie season ended in Foxboro before it even began. Last year was underwhelming. Now this.
His career is over.

What about going European on this and call them the the Washington football UNION. Or Washington FU. ;)
or better yet
football union washington

FU Washington

Washington Fighting Irish

Washington Social Justice Warriors

The DC Swamp
Close, but I think better would be a historical reference. A nod to the illustrious history of our nation’s capital city. Call them the Washington Swampoodles.

Swampoodle was a neighborhood on the border of Northwest and Northeast in the second half of 19th and early 20th century...
The neighborhood gained a reputation for being a lawless shantytown, where crime, prostitution, drunkenness were rife during and after the Civil War. … It was a considered a virtual no-go area for the police and new recruits were often sent there for their training.
