damn, that sucks... only 24 years old... had his whole life ahead of him... absolutely hate to hear news like this.

t's & p's to his family & teammates

Absolutely heartbreaking. They were innocent bystanders in this and just going about their day when a possible drunk driver sideswept them. These kinds of stories really make you think how much things can change in an instant.

Another good example for the nothing good happens after midnight list. Very sad.

I live here in MD and it's a pretty big story. They were all coming from the same party. Cori was the driver from the other car. Sounds like they were racing.

Followed him during the recent draft process, and thought that Minnesota received great value for him at #108... Shocked & saddened when I first heard of this; damn shame too.

Ugh. This is terrible.

Yes, I’m living in DC area and it’s been a big story. Surprised what I’ve seen and heard has been all about the three deceased, not really anything about racing or them being acquainted with Cori. I’d wondered about that but nothing at all about it in media coverage. She’ll be screwed up for life too. And her passengers.

That makes it more tragic. Six young people having a good time, then all their lives ruined in an instant.

Reports have been saying alcohol and excessive speed are suspected factors. Ya think?

I’d add driver inexperience. And cars not built for racing. And hazardous obstacles close to the road. Knowing the road and the cars involved they were likely racing well over the century mark when they encountered the third car and got squeezed together. If either of the two racing drivers did the right thing they’d still all be here today. If those cars were built to racing safety standards they’d probably have survived. This **** is why I decided to do my racing on the track. Plus tracks don’t have tree stumps in impact zones.

Damn shame.

Hard to tell how much damage was done during extrication. Or how first responders even managed extrication.
The Charger was ripped in half
I was a firefighter for years. You can cut a roof off. Remove doors. Peel back a dashboard etc
You cannot cut a car in half.
That had to be a gruesome sight
Shame. Just started their lives
My condolences to their family and friends. RIP
