What have you possibly seen from Stidham to make you think he is a legit playoff QB? Brady had a magical season in 01, growing pains in 02 and started to come into his own in 03. Oh and he is the Goat. It is so, so rare to take a QB with Stidhams level of NFL experience and compete for a championship yet alone make the playoffs. So, yeah, definitely.
I never suggested Stidham is "a legit playoff QB." And yes, it is rare to take a QB with Stidham's level of NFL experience and compete for a championship. But it has been done and with others besides Brady. So no, you cannot say "definitely." Fact is we don't know what he might be capable of.

Then what’s your point about Stidham? Blow it up and rebuild with Stidham? If the Pats build a great offense and defense and then go with a 2nd year QB that’s never started an NFL game then BB has truly lost his mind.

That he's an intriguing prospect.

Yup, he was positively insane in 2001. Look where that got him. ;)

1st year and 2nd year starters start all the time.

If they were able to build that, with cap management in mind, that's exactly what you'd hope for.

Yes starters start, is that your point? You don’t build a championship offense and defense and then say, let’s go with this QB with the experience of Stidham.

You’re comparing him to Brady again! Did you watch the team in 2001? Do you remember anything about that year? 2000 is Brady’s rookie season. After watching Brady for a year as the 4th string QB, the Pats/BB sign Bledsoe to a record 10 year 100 million dollar contract in March 2001. BB never intended that Brady become the 2000 QB. IfBledsoe doesn’t get hurt in 2001, it’s likely Brady never starts a game for the Pats unless BB signing Bledsoe to a 100 million contract was so he could become an expensive back up in a year or 2. So no BB was not insane, and he proves my point by going with Bledsoe over Brady.

Worked with Jackson/Mahomes, not uncommon, wouldn't be surprised if 2nd year Murray has ARI contending next year.

They were both first round draft picks drafted to be starters Stidham, was drafted to be a developmental back up.

Bledsoe recovered and BB still went with Brady. It only was a matter of time before Brady took over regardless of the Bledsoe injury and BB knew it. Brady outplayed Bledsoe in training camp/preseason games that year.

With Fromm coming out and Tua announcing, that's good news for the Pats, whether they intend to draft a QB high or not. More talent up top means more talent drops to 23
