OT: This dude got picked over McDaniels?

Like... not only does he look and sound like a dope, but what he said doesn't even make sense. "We're going to be, uh, smarter... it's important to be smart... so what we are gonna, uh, gonna do is... systems... put systems in place where... where the guys don't have to think... it's simple... just do, don't think!" You're going to be smarter by making things so simple they don't require any thinking???

I think it is a pretty good reflection on how unwanted the job in Philly is given their QB cluster**** situation, the salary cap mass executions coming up and a GM that might also be a dead man walking.

They got someone who will not entirely ruin his future once he is fired in 1-2 years but make a lot of money (relative to typical coordinator salaries) and experience on this wild ride. But until this ship is righted again in no less than 2 years there is no way the Eagles will be able to attract high class coaching talent.

Starting to think Bienemy saw the dysfunction in Houston & the QB-forcing in Philly and decided to pass. I mean, in other years, those are probably enticing destinations. But I figure Bienemy just told them « nah ».
Yes, Houston and Philadelphia don't look promising for their new coaches. QB issues and front office meddling.

I was also wondering this - could this guy basically be a "fall guy"? Essentially - their QB and cap situation are such a disaster that no one can really fix it, so they just hire some random dude to be a placeholder for the next disastrous couple seasons and then can him at the end and make him the scapegoat... then hire a legitimate coach when they actually have cap space and a roster you can work with.
