3 years later, Pete Carroll’s "rugby style tackling" video still changing football

Seattle released this video back in 2014, and updated it in 2015 to teach safer ways of tackling.

It's a pretty cool thing to do, as I imagine many teams would keep this under wraps. May be of use to some of you out there coaching.

Yep- they must have updated it during the non-contact OTAs in which they were fined for tackling.

It looks like they're teaching the tackling method that I was taught in the 60's. The one where you use your shoulder to tackle, not your face.

"Rugby-style tackling" is also known as "actual tackling."
