As a Penn State alum, i hate this, but as a Pats fan i think this could give us a great pipeline Pats a-la Rutgers....but with a better pool of talent to pick from.
Also, somewhat off base, but do the conditions of our "timeout" from the first round in 2016 prohibit us from trading into the 1st round on draft day?
Yeah because the Urban Myer Flordia pipeline ended up working sooo well for us.
Especially since the original pick will just be #32 anywayNo but it would be fairly pointless. wherever we trade up too in the first round, we lose the higher pick between our original pick or the one we traded up to. It makes more sense to trade up into the high second round than into the first. Would require less draft capital and there'd be no great drop off in quality.
Spikes and murderer were good players for us. Murderer could've been hof material.Yeah because the Urban Myer Flordia pipeline ended up working sooo well for us.

Elliot is going to be long gone by the time we would even be slated to pick in the first round anyway. But yeah, the kid is a stud. Why Ohio State has had games this season where they went away from him was beyond me. After Devin Smith declared last year and left, Elliot was the most dangerous weapon they had. Meyer going away from him helped cost them the Michigan State game.I've always found it a bit odd that we don't usually draft Buckeye players, as Nate Ebner is the only one I can even think of in awhile.
It's a shame that we don't have a first round pick this year, because I truly believe that Zeke Elliot is the most pro ready RB we've seen in awhile. Gurly may be quicker, but Elliot is superior in pass protection and all around blocking. He may beat Gurley in pass catching ability, as well.
